I recently purchased a 2023 Bronco Wildtrak and one of the first mods I wanted to make was disabling the auto start stop feature as I personally find it annoying. I used FORscan to disable the auto start/stop feature which ran successfully in the FORscan app and showed that it is disabled. However, when I took it for a test drive, the start /stop was still killing the engine as normal. I checked the settings in FORscan again and it still showed "disabled". I tried enabling it completely, then disabling it again but it's still working as normal. Any advice would be appreciated!

There are at least 3 different ways to disable ASS in Forscan - probably more that I'm not aware of.

None of them worked on my '23 BB.

Some folks say they have luck with the aftermarket dongles that disable it. The ProCal tune ~used~ to allow memory, but I hear they have removed that if you update to the most recent tune with a '23 or newer.

Auto Stop Eliminator is what you seek.

Thanks for the link... I also saw someone praising this on YouTube. I don't mind dropping $100 for this dongle but was just hoping maybe I was just missing something with the Forscan settings.
I know theres some folks here who said they got it working on their '23. I wonder if they were early year models before Ford changed something.

And what are the odds an OTA update will "fix" that for the early models.

So my 2023 BB has the procal and ASS disabled, is there a way for me to pull my forscan file to be replicated?

I sure wish they would just put a button on the dash that was easy to push and end this madness forever.
My 2024 Everglades actually has a button, but it doesn’t work. I had to push it every time I got in the Bronco, it wouldn’t retain the last setting. The auto stop eliminator fixed that. 😉

Procal tune should allow for ASS memory on last setting to be enabled. ASS is not disabled with the Procal tune, it is on by default, and even after the tune, you have to manually turn it off if you want to keep it that way each time after startup.

Procal doesn’t do that anymore. Ford removed it.
