I have a bucking Bronco from a Bronco II I once owned. Now I know why it has been in my garage all this time and found the perfect place to mount it in the new Bronco. it will be interior, what should I use? I ground off the pins so I do not need holes, and would prefer not to glue, is there a double sided tape that will work, and hold up in the long run? You will have to wait for the pics, I will not tell the location until the reveal

3M double sided foam tape should do the trick.

My only concern is in summer when the temps inside a locked car reach extreme levels

I have used Alien Tape to secure a few things, but have found when the truck gets hot inside, they come unstuck. It's an annoyance, but I just press it back on. If this is something that won't break if it falls off, try that first to be sure that you like the location, then you can consider something a little more permanent.

I taped a metal bronco ii bronco to inside on plastic with vhb tape(3M), still there after a year in Ohio. It's the tape used to tape emblems to cars. You can also glue it, but tape is easier, especially if you ever remove it

Gorilla Glue HD double sided tape. I used it to mount my dash cam when the 3M or Scotch (don't remember which, white and green backing) wouldn't hold up. We have seen record heat this summer and the tape is holding strong.

Reminds me of this recall I got notice of a few years back with our van.

https://www.motorsafety.org/fiat-ch...may-impale-drivers-passengers-in-a-collision/

Nothing could go wrong with just sticking an emblem on an airbag surface.
I noted your sarcasm in your last statement, but others might not.

From your linked article,
Airbags deploy at speeds between 100 and 200 miles per hour within 30 to 50 milliseconds. Additionally, “objects in the path of a deploying airbag can become injurious, potentially lethal projectiles.” Even without the boost of an airbag, any loose object in a crashing vehicle can impale an occupant at close to the speed the vehicle was going before it crashed. For example, in 2015, surgeons in Rhode Island found a dime lodged in a crash victim’s leg. It had passed through his femur. The dime was bent.

3M automotive Red tape (its actually grey, the plastic that peels off is red). Good enough for car parts on the exterior.
This is you answer here. It's designed as molding /emblem tape 🤠
