Hey all! Apologies first off I put this in the wrong forum. Was washing my 3 month old Everglades this weekend and ran across a really oddly damaged rear, plastic door trim. Anyone seen anything like this? Looks way worse in person, I’m just trash with a camera evidently. Everything else is fine, nothing similar anywhere else. How about a part number so I can reorder? Having trouble finding a diagram with this thing on it. Thanks in advance!

Warranty item. Defective plastic mold injection issue?? Within the time frame, so let them deal with it. It is part of the window, glass parts of the door. - guide.

Didn’t even think of that honestly. 🤦🏻‍♂️. I should 1,000% try that route first. Super crazy that it’s the only place. Thank you!!!!

Have you taken the Bronco on brushy trails? I have the same issue, but I know it was my own doing. If that’s your case, warranty claim could possibly be denied.

Actually not at all, this one hasn’t even gone to the mall so not sure it even qualifies for mall crawler status yet. 🤣

At first I thought I may have hit something on that side but a) zero other damage or anything and b) it sort of just rolls off little bits if you try to wipe it.

Definitely going to try the warranty route but understand if they deny. 99.9% sure I couldn’t have done anything to cause it but from their perspective that’s probably hard to believe unless they’ve seen it before.

I’m probably one of the few people that appreciates the Bronco’s easy to clean interior and materials but I was just complaining about this to my SO.

I have no idea why Ford used such cheap ass material for this specific exterior part. Everything else is fine but mine is permanently stained by mud and I’ve just accepted it will be like that forever.

I would imagine hitting the $29K price point had a lot to do with it, If they were going to cut corners any place, I'm happy with them doing it there.

This looks more intentional rather than a defective plastic. Do you have kids or park where kids usually play? this looks like someone intentionally poked through the piece. It's going to be a tough sell trying to convince the dealer the plastic is defective

Use Chemical Cuys Nonsense Invisable Super Cleaner on your exterior plastics makes it look like new and their Hydro Shield Ceraic Shine coating after you clean it. This stuff works great!

Yeah. I just deal with it. After 600 miles off-road in Nevada dust this past week, these pieces dont get clean. Oh well.
