Certainly a long shot but anyone know anyone that has purchased fenders or hoods and taken delivery (or at least a tracking number) on said items?

In-general, or since this dumpster fire ignited?

I'd be curious about the latter.

I'm sure this link has been posted already, but its a good cliffnotes for the litigation. There are too many posts since august 9 for me to look through to see if it has been posted already...my apologies if it has.

Interesting cliff notes. Paints APG is a much more negative light than previously discussed around here.. Well at least Lite Brite (don't want to @ the poor guy since we are really stupid or whatever he called us) has been backing APG.

Anyways, it's all speculation on our parts. People are out $6k+ and it sucks.

At least you guys are keeping the memes going. With that said, you can all get back to our normal programming. F APG, LITE BRITE & ADV.

Besides the shit show the pro runner is bad azz build got to check it out today.
What would've been bad azz was if you wouldn't questioned APG about the top fiasco... Or simply said, that's a kick ass top, is that the one you screwed ADV over on? 😁

I guess - my view is it paints ADV's stance - which is going to be they gave APG $4.4 million to fund their share of the development of the top and APG failed to manufacture a final product that could be sold. ADV is going to claim AGP failed and had inflated costs ($1k originally estimated vs $3k actual per ADV) because they wasted the money on "other" things besides R&D/Manufacturing and that they didn't have the experience in manufacturing overseas they claimed to start.

That may all be 100% true - and why ADV would have a good case against APG.

It in no way changes the fact that ADV used customer pre-payments to support their portion of R&D and engineering costs on a product that had never been produced before and didn't tell anyone that is how they were funding their investment...

How many people still pre-pay in full if ADV tells people they are crowdsourcing the millions of dollars needed to figure out how to build the top because they can't fund it outside of pre-sales?

How many more people would have asked for a refund if they had been honest about even 20% of reality about how the process was going?

Corporate fraud by will be easier to get a judgement on since it is only 2 parties involved and will have receipts.

But if any of the pre-pay customers bother to pursue it - ADV is not only guilty of fraud on several levels, it would likely be federal given their customer base and the penalty a lot more severe.

Was going to respond to another thread (app rebooted and deleted everything I had written. Anyone else found the app to be buggy as hell lately?) but found this to be a bit comical given everything that has gone down.
So I was looking at APG over the weekend because of the rumor they were building the ADV tops now. Of course I was investigating their long travel kit. I was baffled at the CGI of the rear system because it is not complete. It just leaves the arms connected to nowhere. One side lower is on the stock mount and the other is their new mount.

What I'm getting at is when you look at the upper mounts they are still in the stock location. I expected that because of the location of the gas tank. I was genuinely curious how they were going to approached that.

So in conclusion I'm even more baffled than before. We have custom coilovers mounts and longer lower control arms. But yet it has the stock length upper control arms. I don't get it, am I missing something???? How does this make it a long travel kit.

I've seen the APG Bronco in action and it looks impressive, but it should it has bypass shocks AND coilovers on all four corners. But I just question how much longer the travel can be with this sort of hodge podge setup.

Hammer these guys on Google reviews, I know they’re able to delete certain comments and get their family members to post, but there’s a lot of people on here…and could definitely make a dent

Yea, I know all that.
I never said people were going to get their money back, and I never said to hire a lawyer, that would be throwing good money after bad.

What I said was to file, make them accountable legally, even if they can't pay.

My point is, if no one does anything, technically they could go on to be a successful business making millions with no reprocussions, because the law wouldn't know what they did.
Got it -- no problem. I think the best thing to do is exactly what is going on with this thread. ADV is ruined and it remains to be seen how this affects APG. The two companies are blaming each other and will battle it out in court. None of this bodes well for customers getting their money back or a top. What did ADV do with the pre-order money? I’m thinking the relationship between ADV and APG started to go south and ADV bailed and contracted a Chinese company to make the tops bypassing APG, causing APG to file or enforce their patent. This is all al guess of course, but one thing we know a lawsuit has been filed by ADV and they will battle it out in court.

"According to the suit, APG promised they could source the hard tops for $1,000 cost per unit"

These tops can be sourced from China for $1000 including ocean shipping. My goodness are we in trouble or what? The new Ford Ranger has only 0.8% (as in zero point eight) domestic parts content. They are brilliant engineers and making all this cool stuff while we are doing what?
