Curious as to what happened to all of these tops from May 2023? This was the start of the "final assembly is going slow" excuse phase. To be honest, if you go through the beginning of this thread, there are by all appearances hardtops being developed, tested, and "built". It's late summer of 2023 when things started to get weird with the "slow final assembly" somehow equaling zero tops delivered.

I haven't read any of the documents, and I am not a lawyer on or off the internet.
And with that said, my understanding is

ADV is responsible for refunding the money to the clients any way they can, with whatever funds they have.
ADV not refunding the money is against the law.
Their video explaining what happened does not legally release them from their obligations.

And I’m pretty sure you can go to jail for the misappropriation of money. If they promised APG 4 million dollars for R&D, they needed to raise that capital through investors or pay out of their own pockets, they can’t use client’s money to do that, that is illegal.

As far as APG, I'm thinking that the details of those court documents are what's going to determine their responsibilities in all this, I doubt it will be good.

I just received this from Advanced Fiberglass:

ADV Fiberglass Hard Top

I am reaching out with an update on your Bronco Hardtop orders.

First, I wanted to genuinely thank you all for your patience and understanding as we have navigated delays and revisions that pushed the availability of this product further out than we ever expected, and I know how frustrating that has been, for you, and for us, as we have been eager to get your order to you.

Unfortunately, ADV Fiberglass has come to realize that our business was targeted and has fallen victim to a business manufacturing and production operation carried out by Automotive Performance Group, APG, in Garden Grove, CA, our business associate on this project. APG has been misleading us and engaging in deceptive, illegal, and unethical business practices – effectively feeding us inaccurate timelines, breaking promises, continuously requesting more money, and even going as far as filing a patent (solely in his name) for a product we, collectively designed and paid for under their own name. After finally discovering the truth, we realized that this was not the honest partner we thought we were working with.

Without any other avenues to pursue, and in an effort to seek justice for you and our company, we are currently in the process of pursuing legal action.

I am sorry to tell you that due to this, the hardtops ordered will not be delivered, and we have removed them as a product offering on our site.

I want to assure you that all the money that you paid toward this product to Advanced Fiberglass Concepts went exactly where we said it would, to the manufacturing and creation of this hardtop. Unfortunately, we trusted the wrong person and we are so sorry for this regrettable mistake. At ADV, we never take your business for granted and it’s devastating that ADV has fallen victim to an operation of this size.

Since learning of APG’s deception, we have also exhausted every possible option to try and manufacture in-house and deliver this product to you without APG’s involvement. However, right now, there is no avenue for us to take to fulfill these orders due to the pending patent that APG filed behind our back, without our business name included, that covered the bolt-together, slant back design. The patent, unfortunately, prohibits us from manufacturing our own design at our ADV facilities.

We are so sorry that this has happened, and we are extremely disappointed that we were not able to deliver on this for you.

If you purchased a hardtop, you may try to contact your credit card company to see if they are able to assist. Unfortunately, Advanced Fiberglass Concepts is unable to directly assist.

Again, we are so sorry that this has happened, and we will be working tirelessly on our end to pursue justice against this individual and APG. We have attached a copy of the legal complaint to show how seriously we are taking this.
In the meantime, if you have any questions please reach out to – [email protected]

Please find a copy of the legal complaint against APG for your reference (Link For Document).

That is for sure fraud.

If I purchased one, I would sue for shits and giggles.

I've got excellent legal coverage with no maximum for hours for anything civil.

THis is interesting. Seems ADV is trying to blame the bigger company. But ADV is the ones who took everyone's 100% payments. Nothing to do with their supplier. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/attachments/apg-statment-regarding-hardtops-pdf.662608/
How do you know it has nothing to do with their supplier? Both sides are blaming the other. ADV was the ones taking the pre-orders so its easier to blame them, but we don't have all the facts. We have no idea what kind of deals were going on behind the scenes. Unfortunately the only winner now will be the lawyers.

" We did not set out to make a quick and cheap fiberglass roof with an aftermarket design strategy (as others did) "

It looks like they had to get a cheap shot in on the other manufactures actually making and delivering tops! And what's up with "aftermarket design strategy"? Is the ADV/APG top not aftermarket? As a former prepaid ADV order holder and now owner of a TOR top, they make a quality top and have great customer service. Nothing quick and cheap about that! And I will add a one piece design is inherently superior to one bolted together from pieces. Honestly I with APG success with their top, its always good to have options. But I think this jab is nothing more than a defense for not being able to deliver a product.

Yes- this happened a lot. “It’s my money- why do you care how I spend it?”. “ADV is a well known seller of fenders so we can trust them”. Etc, etc. No one wants advice if it’s not their own. Many saw the 100% down as an immediate red flag and slammed the brakes right then (myself being one). Some did it anyway. Some saw the light after months and months of excuses/delays/rubber/put it together yourself, etc, etc and cancelled and got refunds. Others? I don’t know why they held on. But like some said- “it’s not my money”.

Soo... I come here thinking that there are only a few new posts then I see this

Ford Bronco ADV Production Modular Hardtop! 1000018358

Oh my... No patience for 30 pages of this.

One way for ADV to get some money... Sue B6G for revenue sharing. The number of ads B6G has served in this thread alone is staggering. 😀

Damn , I don't even need an aftermarket hardtop but read this entire thread anyway. The only thing I got out of it is Googling something called Litebrite and getting a bunch of results of some midget bowing a cute blonde over that had a pink buttplug up her ass. Are we talking about the same Litebrite ? Maybe I should turn my search filter back on ,lol.
I can ask her at the bronco stampede tomorrow.

Wow. Just wow. I haven’t posted since the days of Dirt/Ice Mountain, and this is the shitshow that brings me back!
😂

An EPIC thread with OnlyFans/Webasto/Fapello/butt plugs AND influencers. Where else on the internet can you get that all in one place?
🤣

All jokes aside, as soon as ADV stated that you had to pay everything up front, with no refunds, on a product designed/manufactured in a post-Covid supply chain world, with no working units even made yet, on a top that Ford themselves (and all of their billions) struggled to produce, the red flags popped up.
🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩

Both of these companies seem shady AF, and for one/both to basically go to an OF “influencer” 🙄😂 as a spokesperson “bell cow” for continued hype…..and said “Influencer” even continues to hype the top after the fascade has been revealed……this process smells like being down wind from the stockyards outside Amarillo. 🐮💩💩💩

Hopefully, all of those who paid into this mess will get their money back. I just don’t see ANYone getting a finished top as promised, especially once the lawyers get more involved.
