ADV Production Modular Hardtop!

I have a very close buddy that's not on here, but had ordered from ADV. He finally switched to TOR and got it today. He had cancelled and requested refund from ADV. They promised him last week that the check has been mailed. This is before the most resent news. I'm hoping ADV is making good of his refund. He's surrounded by some pretty high powered attorneys here in Dallas. This just sucks all around.

i am wondering if in the midst of all this, does this mean there are no tops at all sitting somewhere to be shipped once the parties resolve their issues. does that mean that all this time no tops were ever produced and we have all been mislead all along. I was under the impressions that tops were in fact being made and that there were some problems afterwards.

It sounds like there's no tops from what the video alluded to. Although LiteBrite got one just a few weeks ago. This is going to get interesting if ADV goes scorched earth on APG.

Well shocker! Not. I feel really bad for those who held out. BUT- several of us warned people many times this was not going to end well- and it didn’t. We were basically told “why do you care how we spend our money”. Touché.
Hopefully lessons will be learned. $7k is a hard lesson to take. Good luck to those of you who got screwed. Hopefully you’ll get some recourse. But don’t say you weren’t warned……

I completely understand your valid concern, as its one that we share as well. ADV Fiberglass was, unfortunately, a victim of a business manufacturing and production operation led by APG, Automotive Performance Group, in Garden Grove, CA the partner company taking control of the manufacturing of the hardtops in this project. Unfortunately, we trusted the wrong person/company to partner up with and there are no words for how sorry we are for this mistake. At ADV, we never take your business for granted and it’s devastating that ADV has fallen victim to an operation of this size, that affects our valued customers. We have also exhausted every possible option to try and manufacture in-house and deliver this product to you without APG’s (Automotive Performance Group in Garden Grove, CA) involvement. However, right now, there is no avenue for us to take to fulfill these orders due to the patent that APG filed behind our back, without our business name included, that covered the bolt-together, slant back design. The patent, unfortunately, prohibits us from manufacturing the design we developed at our ADV facilities. We are so sorry that this has happened and are extremely disappointed that we were not able to deliver on this for you. Please know our customers are like family to us – YOU are important to us. This is not something we are taking lightly, and we wish the circumstances were different. Honestly, I don't feel bad for ADV whatsoever. You need to research people before you go into business with them. A simple Google search on Gemayel shows he has done this before! He's. scam artist!!!

The full amount up front requirement pushed me to Anderson and boy am I happy about that now

I always felt that john was slick. I wanted to believe him, I have his fenders & hood too... I am so glad I had a drop dead date in my head of needing a top by this fall. I bailed and ordered the anderson and they ended up delivering in 8 weeks instead of the quoted 30.. Just hoping I never have an accident as I'd hate to figure out getting a replacement fender from ADV

check w your CC company on what happens if they don't deliver in x time for a refund, both of these companies will still be producing other products. I think my fenders/hood from ADV shipped in a few weeks when I did them 2 years ago. I would have done the APG ones, but they didn't exist at the time.

I haven't ordered anything yet. I was just about to though. I don't really like the other hood and fender options out there.

The fact they didn't protect their IP it's business 101 or it was a calculated out.
