My guess is the price of the rack itself will probably be a deal killer for you LOL. 74Weld isn't known for price competitiveness. That said, it will be built like a brick shithouse.
Fair point! I don't mind spending money where it makes sense, I have $5k into my 1 tons for the B2, but most of this 6G stuff doesn't make sense.

The $850 aluminum panel that covers the cargo area really got me to chuckle the other day.

It’s going to be tough for them to sell this at double or triple what the Hoss 3.0 rack and rods cost. I’m hopeful this won’t be priced at some crazy high price point, but we shall see.

As off now no one know how well the 3.0 is going to hold up to use. I would bet this rack is going to be in the $4k+ range.

Good guess. That was my range as well, 3500 to 4K. But would not surprise me that it might be higher, 5K???

The other thing people should remember is, as you said, the WT 3.0 rack has not been in use long enough to know how strong it is or how it will hold up.

AND

I will say the rack that 74Weld will build will be stout enough for 40"+ tires. Those portals they build are stout pieces and my guess is the rack will be no different. Overkill for the guy on 37s who barely wheels it but for the guy who is wheeling and wheeling hard with 37 or 40s he will not have an issue.

There will be no comparison between the WT 3.0 and the 74Weld racks. 74Weld is an upgrade from the WT 3.0.

We will see what they come out with. Definitely room to put a solid piece of billet and Hoss 3.0 needs more support around the pinion tensioner.

Someone else can do the testing as I am 100% stuck with Hoss 3.0

My rack and pinion just broke. I had the full bronc buster steering. 2 door sas no other mods but full bronc buster steering stuff. Once ford takes it out I’ll ask for pics.
Damn, that sucks. What happened?

This! Please provide some details. When was the kit installed, before ever wheeling or after a number of runs? Circumstances of when it broke. Tire size. What part broke?

I saw on their IG that Loren is apart of the testing on these, and that 40s is the goal. I really wonder if this is going to be the “hydro” setup that the fun runner crew was talking about at SEMA that wasn’t quite ready yet.

I held off on Hoss 3.0 swap just because there really isn’t much documentation on how much beefier the system actually is, but now I’m kind of glad. Will be interesting to see where it falls on pricing

We have members that already replaced their rack with the HOSS 3.0 And they had to do a lot of tricky stuff to get it to program including using two different pieces of software.

So how exactly is this company stating that this is going to be plug and play when we know that the steering rack contains an actual module that has to be programmed? One of those programs is Fords, requires fairly expensive adapters, it had a minimum of $50 two-day license fee.

Really? That would be a first. As far as I know even BB himself hasn't broken anything with his oversized tires and reckless driving.

If this is actually true, you need to start a separate thread because this would be powerful information.

It was tricky to figure it out. That was the heavy lifting done by @BigMeatsBronco .

It wasn't all that bad to program once you know how to do it. Still, I can see where people would be uncomfortable doing this.

$120 isn't terribly expensive for the adapter (which also works with FORSCAN).
