4wd not available - Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power

So I've had this happen about 4x now in the past month or so.
Driving on snow covered/slushy roads & I'll hit some slush, then get a 4wd error / 4wd not available message on my dash & a Fordpass message of Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power.

I'm assuming it's just slush being thrown into the ABS wheel speed sensor(s) & causing a brief issue.
Everytime, after I've stopped & cycled the vehicle off & back on, the dash light has been gone & 4wd has been functional.

Should I just go ahead & change the wheel speed sensor?
I think it's the right rear, I'm 100% sure it's the right side because it's always after the right wheels hit slush.
But I'm thinking i'll proactively change both rear ones.

And is this the correct part number? MB3Z-2C190-H
Almost feels too cheap.

Could be wheel speed sensor...or something else. I would presume a code would be stored somewhere. @flip has been very helpful nailing down issues...he may be able to see any stored codes if you send him your VIN.

Yeah I haven't had a chance to get forscan plugged in & read codes.
I'm just assuming a sensor because it clears every time you cycle the power & it always happens literally a second after hitting slush.

Agree the symptoms point to the sensor but odd that it clears by cycling the the power. There have been stories of bricked trucks on the trail due to the ABS sensors that won't reset even after the battery disconnected. Maybe the pin connector isn't properly seated allowing moisture? Have you popped them out to get a look?

I have not.
I'm going to have it on the lift this weekend for a myriad of other maintenance tasks, so I'll definitely check them then & clean/reseat them.

Wheel speed sensor more than likely won’t cause a reduced power message.

I know you're already aware of the fuel level sensor DTCs, but it appears you have a few more now for 4WD related issues.

Yikes.
Yeah. Waiting on the fuel pump recall to see if it fixes those. It's still being glitchy for now.

I'll have to dig into these other ones & see what it causing them.

There are two connectors to unplug, clean, coat with dialectic grease, and reconnect. One is on the outside frame rail under the front passenger door and the other is the bundle of wires running into the rear of the transfer case.

While you're down there check the transfer case wire bundle for kinks that could be a sign of a wire break inside the insulation.

I stand corrected. Looking back at my notes it was SERVICE 4x4 wrench icon. Connector C3734.

Same thing happened to me recently, turning on 4x4 on an icy road gives me the Wrench icon and says 'service vehicle immediately' but disapears when i cycle the power.
