My 2022 2dr seems to leak a little when it rains. Always the same 2 places ( one on each side) Not a ton of water but it leaks. Water accumulates where you see it but can’t tell where it’s coming from. Top was off one time, front panels maybe 3 times. Any thoughts? TIA

Had something similar with mine...turned out to be bad window seal/seating at factory. Glass shop repair

I have the same exact issue on my ‘23 Wildtrak. I have not discussed with the dealer yet, but plan to when I schedule service soon.

@Ford Motor Company These tops have been a real quality problem. I’m not going to opine on if it is a design or manufacturing fault but there is no denying the issue.

What is going to happen to all of us who haven’t had a problem yet but will have an issue when the warranty expires after 3 years? This is a major and very expensive component of the car. It is reasonable to expect it to last the life of the car and not fail in a few years.

I have the same issue on my 22, but it only happens on one side. Always the same spot though. It's not concerning enough for me to take it in to a dealer though.

This.

I'll add, the papier-mache hardtop issues are one of several reasons that I'm holding off buying one of these. I have one of those lives, and I'd be guaranteed to get a turd.

(that I can no longer order what I wanted is another major factor)

I had that leak too. The dealership reinstalled the window and the leak stopped. It will be warranty covered.

Hi @Ford Motor Company ! Thank you for the quick response to my concern. I ended up figuring out how to address the issue. Here's how:
  1. I suspected the cause could be a poor seal to the B-Pillar from a change in temperature since the top was last reinstalled in warm weather.
  2. I loosened the hard top mounting bolts and the rear latches on the roof panels.
  3. I then went to the back of the vehicle and gently pushed the top toward the front at the two C-Pillar locations.
  4. I tightened down the mounting bolts and secured the rear roof panel latches.
And.......all fixed! There have been several hard rains since the adjustments were made, and there are no drips along the window. If anything changes, I will certainly let you know. Happy New Year!
