I just picked up a base desert sand for the wife. We bought a Big Bend 2 door sas when they first came out but sold it after 2 years. Wish we would have kept it. Since she was used to the big wheels and lift I am searching for the best option to go about mocking the SAS she had. Maybe do a 2.5 lift and 35s or 2” with 285s. It does have the smaller engine compared to the SAS and lower gear ratio. So what do yall recommend go big and do the 35’s? Mind you this is just a grocery getter/ beach cruiser. Thanks

When I meant by mocking the SAS I just meant the lift and wheel/tire combo. Everything else will be kept stock no regearing or anything else

2" and 285s. Get the look and good on/off road performance without the too much, too big issues.

The 2 door base only comes in the 2.3 and 3.73 gears. I think you have to get badlands to get bigger engine.

Right ..brain fade....

I would keep tire @ wheel weight to lowest possible while achieving desired optics .... the 2.3 is an excellent power plant no need to bog it down with unsprung mass....

Sasquatch lift is 1.1" over what you have.

Ahh crap, automatic ... I was just about to say the 4.46 gears will be fine with 35's, for the most part.
I know folks have done it, but I'd be leary of 35's with 3.73's.
I'd stick with 285/70-17 or similar size "33" inch tire.

I put OBX 32s on my 2-Door 2022 Base. Bought some OBX tires/rim takeoffs for $700.

Its a V6/auto, but I figured with the 3.73 offered on OBX (if you don't upgrade rear-end) it would be just fine... and it is. I even got 25mpg yesterday on a 100 mile highway trip.

I also figured since Ford offers a 3.73/32" combo in the OBX they couldn't say anything about me putting on 32 OBX wheels/tires on my Base... warranty-wise.

I remember Mr. Base Bronco (or whatever his handle is) on his blue Base 2Dr... putting 33s on the standard 16" wheels. You might want to look at that. Looked really sweet after he painted the steelies white.

Not sure if this still applies, but to accommodate the bigger tires, you will need to remove the crash bars in the wheel well.
