I’m actually trying to get my 2.7 2 Dr Badsquatch to roll slower. When wheeling, that thing just lurches at times when I’m just in 4H when I want to feather the throttle which I’m not a pro at.

Faster on the trail usually just leads to carnage from what I’ve seen, so I’ll just be the tortoise to your hare I guess.
You ever try wheeling in eco- or get a pedal commander and tone it down for a softer throttle.

I figured out a way to achieve 0-60 in under 3 seconds, no modifications required.

All you had to do is drive it off a 37m tall cliff!

Although actually, with these aerodynamics I don’t know about terminal velocity…

[Edited to make my math make more sense in the context of this thread]

Thanks for the comment. I have no doubt the Pulsar XT adds more HP and TQ compared to the FP Tune, but the FP Tune greatly reduces TQ management and improves transmission shifting strategies, which is equally important on these Broncos. The FP Tune alone dropped my 0-60 more than half a second and Middleton Motorsports saw the same result.

Now using the Pulsar XT on top of the FP Tune might be the ticket, but I would expect you couldn't set it to the max, since it might be too much. I recently ordered a RaceChip, which is what the VR Tune box is based off of, so I'm curious to see the gains alongside the FP Tune. That said, $550-600 for your Piggyback tuner and throttle controller combo is a good deal :)

If you want me to compare to the FP Tune feel free to PM me
we got an FP tune for our 2.7, hoping to get it loaded and tested with the XT soon ;)

OP, after you're done with the engine, one of the best upgrades you can make is reducing rotating mass. Keep the Goodyears, and find a set of wheels that weigh 20lbs.

Had my mind set on the Turbosmart BOV plumback option, but won a dual port model for $152 on eBay. Just installed it tonight. Plan to do an another 0-60 run this weekend now that I put some miles on the CAI. Also, RaceChip is taking forever to ship from Germany, so it should be here in two weeks.

I'll be impressed with a 5 second flat 0-60. These things really scoot. On the street the best I can get with my gen 3 coyote mustang manual on e85 with a drag pack is 5.0 or 5.1 consistently. For a heavy suv to keep up is no joke

Hoping to get close with all the bolt-ons. 0-60 in the 4 sec range is going to take a full custom tune with E30 or meth. Perhaps, low 4’s with upgraded CRP turbos and downpipe. Think I’d be worried about the driveshaft/input shaft and 10R60 at that point. Hey, whatever it takes to beat a Jeep 392 😛

That 2.7L with turbo is amazing after a few tweaks, for low end torque, chirpy speed when you need it, and getting past anyone or up anything I’ve come across with ease. I started being interested in 0-60 in 5s after seeing the OP start this thread, and decided this weekend to run my 2023 WT flat out and use the “1, 2, 3 Mississippi“ method and then the timer on my phone. I’ll lay out my build in detail on another post later but I did 0-60 in +/- 5.25 pretty consistently while running as I do every day in town or on trails ( other than changing around GOAT modes and backing off on Pedal Commander except for today). Basically I have a JB4 tune and a Pedal Commander with intake/exhaust mods, here is a list I jotted down from today’s trial:

JB4 Map 1
GOAT Normal, 4A, launch from stop from 1st gear in regular D mode.
PC set to Sport, + 4
AFE cat back exhaust
Roush intake
35s and 2.5 perch collar lift. KO2s
Upgraded BOV
CVF Intercooler
Soft top
Fuel mix at the time part 93 part 87, 1/4 tank.
No passengers.
Sea level. 60 degrees/ 44 pct humidity.

All the upgraded armor underneath and bumpers including Warn Evo-10 needed for overlanding and some crawling (Moab, Wolf Caves, various Colorado spots most recently).

Rock Slider Engineering retractable steps and armor.

Other suspension and steering mods that make the truck heavier than stock.

Spare, Hi lift jack and Roto pax all on truck at the time, 3 gallons of spare gas on board.

I don’t know about 4 seconds and although I won’t try for 5 flat, I’m sure I could get there playing around with this setup like the JB4 and dragging it in manual, without stacking tunes. Although next is downpipes and the Injen CAI which I will bolt on next, to get everything I can out of that turbo. Plus a few more lights to add so I don’t over-drive my headlights at night!

Nice ride! Looks like you have a bunch of performance mods. Be curious to see what an actual Dragy run shows. You can pick one up for a little over $100

My son bought a '24 5.0 mustang. He drove it up from Tenn so it had some break in miles on it. I did a hard launch or two with it in regular drive. I could feel the computer/throttle hold it back to keep the tires from spinning much up until about 35 then it hit HARD an before you know it you're doing 80. A tune might improve that low end but also might make it too easy for it to get away from you. I had a '97 cobra with a Kenne Belle blower on it an that 5.0 would walk it if we lined up.

Well, they are on. Had an issue getting to a bolt that was holding the old cold air pipe on. That def slowed down my installation. Big hands tight places.....yeah a very bad combo.

I'll do a separate thread about the install.
Quick takes, boost comes on faster, harder. No turbo lag. I will test later tonight, needed to eat something.
