picked up a Salvaged 2023 Wikdtrak/Sasquatch/LUX model.
Has 21000 miles, hit to the right front wheel. Knuckle broke, CV axle was missing, the differential tube broke.

Got it home and ordered all the parts, had to source different venders.

There was an intermediate shaft in the vehicle already. When I lined it up with the new Diff Tube it appeared to be too short 13 1/2”. I thought maybe the place i bought it from used a temporary part to keep the diff fluid in. I order a new shaft for the M210 locker rear.
The new shaft is 14 3/8s.

I have questions about the CV axle.
I got it on eBay, the box had part number MB3Z-3A428-A 1X, the paper tag on the MB3W-3A427-AC. The CV Axle is 28 1/2”. All my research says it’s the right part.

I had to fight to get the Knuckle and lower control Arm in. I go to turn the axle at the wheel studs and it turns with some resistance. The Drivers side has resistance, but not as bad.

I’m over thinking maybe, but I feel maybe the Temp short axle shaft at 13 1/2” may have been the right one.

I still need to start it up and put it in neutral and see how things rotate.

Before I engage the Differentials and by accident bind things up. I’d like to know you all opinions.
Are the parts correct?
What I’m experiencing is normal ?

Thank you for your time!

I just had my front end apart a couple weeks ago. Swapping m190 for m210. I could have measured for you. They should rotate with same minimal resistance on both sides. Easily rotate by hand. There is inertia but not really frictional resistance.

Passenger side video.

@Snacktime might have some m210 half shafts laying around. Ford part numbers suck. @Ducati1098 may be able to help.

There’s multiple different service part numbers and engineering numbers that will work,
But MB3Z-3A428-A and MB3W-3A427-AC are both correct for the RH side for an M210

I’d need a VIN to be completely sure it’s correct for your Bronco though.

I think there is only 1 m210 intermediate shaft for all the models anyway. The only difference in the OEM m210s are the internal gear ratio - everything else is the same. I believe that even includes the Braptors (they have different CVs, but the FDU is the same I think).

So there would be 2 CV P/Ns for the OEM m210 FDU - Braptor and non-Braptor. Sounds like you got the right one.

(there are 2? intermediates for the m190, since it can come with or without the FAD)

Aftermarket gets a bit trickier - since OEM m210 is 29-spline, but there's also a 32-spline "Extreme" variation out there, and different lengths for folks doing long travel and such.

All the revisions is what makes the CV part numbers confusing. There’s like 13 different part numbers just for the RH side between every Bronco. And that’s only service part numbers. Mixing in engineering numbers and it gets even more convoluted.

And while I’m sure any one of them that says Adrenaline package will work, it’s just difficult to keep track of all the numbers. Especially when buying older/used ones off eBay like OP did.

Like MB3Z-3A428-A hasn’t been a valid part number since sometime in 2022.

I believe the CV axle is in too much of a bind.
I fought like hell to get the shaft in the rotor and the lower control arm on the knuckle.

As you can see in the picture, the inward side of the CV axle is sticking out at least an inch from the Tube.

From my research, I found that I had the wrong intermediate shaft at 13-1/2”
I was told I needed MB3Z-4B410-A, which is 14 3/8”. So I installed that and now I’m thinking I should have stayed with what was in the rig.
I thought that was a temporary shaft used at the place I bought the Bronco., but from SNACKTIMES picture above, he’s is 13 1/2” the same as my original. I was told the Sasquatch M210 needed the 14 3/8” shaft.

I took it all apart and thinking of putting ing the 13 1/2” shaft, before I do so, I’m wanting you all’s opinion.
My mock set up, I felt the 13 1/2” shaft didn’t seat deep enough in the differential.
Am I wrong.
I need help bad!!!

14 3/8" - 13 1/2" = exactly what your tape measure is showing.

MB3Z-4B410-A is the correct intermediate shaft repair kit from the VIN you posted.
(Ignore where it says rear, just an inaccurate description)

Is the Inch on the picture above, showing the gap acceptable? I feel the shaft didn’t go in deep enough to seat in the roller bearing of the half tube.
The 7/8s” differential between the 2 intermediate shafts may bring the CV axle more into the tube, thus allowing more angle movement at the rotor.

Why does SNACKTIMES picture of the 13 1/2” shaft work on M210. It then should work on mine.
I’m confused why there are 2 different shafts for the M210.
I need to get this rig fixed soon.
What should I do???

No, not at all. Something is wrong. The half shaft needs to go in much further.

There isn’t. There’s only 1 intermediate shaft for the M210.

Either the intermediate shaft is installed incorrectly, the sleeve is installed incorrectly, or the half shaft is not in all the way. Those are really your only options if you’re using the correct parts.

Thank you for getting right back to me!
You say there’s only I shaft for the M210.
Then why did I have a 13 1/2” one in my Bronco and Snacktime says the same in he’s picture fitting the M210.
Part# MB3Z-4B410-A, is the 14 3/8s shaft, which is the one I used and is 7/8s longer than the other.

1, I carefully made sure all cir-clips engaged.
2, I know the coupling is on right , because if not it would go over the groves in the shaft.
3, I used the shorter end of the shaft into the Differential.
4, its weird that the gap at the CV axle to Diff Tube is almost the same as the difference between the 2 shafts.
5, this proves there are 2 intermediate shafts.
How to tell which to use.
6, Here’s my sales invoice showing
4.7 front and rear Diff locks with 315 tires.
You would think the 14 3/8s is the one, but why did it come with the 13 1/2” axle.
Just something to think about, because I am so confused
