Is forscan a ford product? I was under the impression that they were not. I'm sure it's just a matter of time on forscan being able to control that. Or maybe it'd be worth getting a cable to do the FDRS calibration route like the guys doing the hoss 3.0 conversions, if that's even possible. Honestly, I'm fine with the open front diff for the time being. I am fine waiting for Ford Performance to make the integration smooth and more plug n play than it is now. That said, if there isn't an easy way to get it paired with the computer and the hero switches, I have no issue wiring it to an aux switch. I still have aux 4 and 5 open.I wired mine separately and opted not to try factory integration because the front diff unlocks at 20mph via the computer.
I have the FAD section with the actuator bolted under the truck at the moment. Don't really want to spend $825 after dropping $5k in axles & shafts just to fix a block of code.
Maybe Ford will do the right thing and let us correct it via Forscan.
As far as the hero switches, I like the integration personally, just from a finishing standpoint. I'm not doing mud bog stuff, so the wheel speed when I figure on using the locker would be low for the rocks out here in southern california. I honestly do think I really need the locker for most of what I do. But I do want to go to the Rubicon next year and I want to have every advantage working for me, locker, beefy steering, have a winch already, spares (front axles, tie rods, stuff like that).
