Looking for some good brands to buy from

Hello everyone! I think this might be my first post in this community so I'm not sure how many will actually see, but I just recently got my Bronco and haven't done anything to it yet. I want to replace the front bumper with something bulkier and nicer, lift kit, new wheels (took a look at Method Wheels for this), and still planning on what else I'll do. I've been looking around at different brands and wanted to get your thoughts on these three: www.broncoforge.com, www.rockhard4x4.com, and www.dv8offroad.com

They all seem pretty legit, especially Bronco Forge and DV8 Offroad. Does anyone have experience with these? Would love to hear what you'd actually recommend. Thanks in advance.

For bumpers and rock rails/steprails, knowing your location might help, due to shipping.
Be sure to research (whoever) are actually building in-house, and are not just simply importing the same cheap crap as everyone else. Some of them are very deceptive in their marketing.

JCR out of Michigan (as I recall) makes very stout gear.

I have a severe man crush for @Metal-tech 4x4 for their step/sliders in particular. (Out west as I recall, Oregon??)
Despite steep shipping costs to Indiana, I may be pulling the trigger soon.

I have no real knowledge or experience with bronco forge or rock hard but doesn’t look like outfits I’d be excited about...not a fan of dv8 after seeing one of bumpers destroyed, but do have one of their license plate holders, it is a heavy pieces if iron to hold a license plate, but it works…lots of good proven setups out there on a lot of good threads here…no need to reinvent the wheel…good luck

If you're referring the the Matt's Off Road Recovery video, I found out that DV8 hadn't installed all the bolts when they mounted the bumper. And I think it was on their own Bronco to boot! Read into this what you want.

Keep in mind that replacement bumpers, bull bars etc, can affect airbag deployment. If I was replacing my bumper with aftermarket, I'd go with ARB. Australia requires testing to prove aftermarket bumpers, etc, don't interferre with airbag deployment. The NHTSA doesn't require testing of aftermarket products. There is just a regulation that they can't make safety features inoperative. There is no certification. The better aftermarket companies depend on digital modeling rather than actual testing.

no that was not the bumper…someone on here posted a photo of one after hitting or getting hit a few years back and it really folded up…I am not a fan of the stock mod bumper either after seeing what they looked like after an early Ford group’s trip thru rubicon…I’m not sure how a bumper on a bronco could affect airbag deployment but you do you…

DV8 is my go to for aggressive, modern styling.

@CalvinT has a point, as a piece of safety equipment, the bumpers Ford and ARB sells are tested (Australia requires it and ARB is Australian). There's also Ironman from Australia, which has Bronco bumpers, although I don't know if either are crash tested per se for an American-only vehicle.

As far as American brands, I have the StinkyFab bumpers, but they're high clearance and not at all any kind of beefy look. If you're looking for beefy, I'd recommend Addictive Desert Designs (break out your wallet). I thought BAMF had Bronco bumpers, but their website doesn't list any, however, they may make one if you contact them.

I have the lodoffroad front and rear bumper and have been happy with them. I have a wildtrack and moved all of the parking sensors and adaptive cruise with no issue. The only issue i have is a rivet that holds the logo on the front bumper is rusting. Everything else is good. They also have frame tie in bracket for more strength.

If you like products made in China then DV8 is your go to company. They also have the worst customer service and little to no refunds on their products. Highly not recommended
