Correct. Which is the only reason they’re doing it now. Ferrari and Rolex are of course not volume businesses, like Ford. At volume, you’re always faced with the problem of not satisfying all your customers completely. And this calculus changes with time. Rolex and Ferrari enthusiasts won’t go away. Stick Mustangs? 7MT Broncos? Maybe 10 years would be my guess.
I think we'll lose the 7MT Broncos before we lose the manual Mustangs.

Agreed. Broncos it could be soon, also 2DRs. But what would Ford put in the ads then? ;-)

The all new Ford Bronco XL! It's an extra-roomy unibody with three rows of seats, stylish ultra-low-profile tires, loads of cupholders, no low range, and it's so easy to get in and out of. Rugged Bronco-inspired styling shows everyone at the mall and the drive-through how tough and independent you are, and that your vehicle could go anywhere in the exceedingly unlikely event you ever want to leave the pavement. Best of all, the new Ford Bronco XL offers more fashionable shades of gray than any competitors!

Stop by your local Ford dealer and test drive one today!

Bought a 2005 Jeep and drove it for 20 yrs (6 speed 4.0). Sold it and bought a 2024 7MT. Buy what suits you best :)

That first one looks just like my 95 YJ. Same color, minus the speakers and the console (mine was the poverty version Rio Grande).
Yep, it's a 95 Sahara. I might be letting it go soon since I just got my dream LJ.

I ordered a 2 door MT just for this reason. Both are probably headed for disco by MY28. Getting rid of both streamlines Ford's manufacturing even more.

That being said my local dealer just got in a low mile 4 door Badlands MT. Unfortunately they have it at unicorn pricing.

Very cool. I’ve never used one, but I remember it well from my dad’s maroon F-100.

I've never had the experience of 3 on the tree.. hopefully some day!
You haven’t missed much. Especially since 1st generally wasn’t sycro’d on most vehicles that had them.

4 on the floor, three on the tree or two in the glue. (powerglide)

I'm 61 and I've had probably 50 cars and trucks in my lifetime. Current vehicles are a 2014 silver BMW M235i (birthday present from my terrific wife) and 2022 Eruption Green Bronco Black Diamond 2 door. Both manuals.

I tell my wife all the time I'll stop when I'm physically incapable of driving a manual and not one second before.
