Not that it's a direct comparison, but I had Fox 2.5s on my '21 Tacoma Pro and they performed well on and offroad with 33s (minus the fact that Tacomas are not very comfortable on long distance highway drives).

If you didn't already, you should stick the borescope into the drain plug opening to take a peak to see if any metal is in the bottom of oil pan.

I ordered a 2 door MT just for this reason. Both are probably headed for disco by MY28. Getting rid of both streamlines Ford's manufacturing even more. That being said my local dealer just got in a low mile 4 door Badlands MT. Unfortunately they have it at unicorn pricing.
