2-door '21 Badlands, and had the A pillar leaks from the get go. There was a TSB for this and finally had them fix it last October. They put a bunch of new seals. Now I'm getting a leak from the passenger sun visor if im parked and it's raining. The dealership came to pick it up this morning. Now Im wondering if its a top issue.

Update: dealership just reached out. Said they are getting me new roof panels...it's outside of warranty, but they are taking care of it. Nice!

Really? How many removable hard top vehicles have you owned? I currently have 4. ONLY the Bronco has issues. It leaks bad enough that I get rain and snow in. The dealer found no issues, but I can see daylight from inside and it will not re-seat any better. It is a Ford problem, period.
I have the same issue. The top seems to not be glued together evenly. I had some success loosening to two top bolts that secure the rear shell and shift it while pulling the seal up a little bit. Could see daylight from the inside as well. But it’s only one of the several issues I’ve found with mine. Unacceptable for the number of years this has been out. It literally feels like I find a new flaw on my vehicle every day. Flaws I never have seen on any other new vehicle I’ve had. I’m starting to wonder if I need to bring a list to the dealership or just give up and accept the “well, It’s a ford…” motto I hear so often. I don’t care how much people love Ford on this forum. The top alone is a massive failure. End of story.

Yes, “it’s a Ford”, but don’t settle. Dealers do try to make it right. Take it in!

Yeah, this will work.
A Class Action lawsuit might work, but Ford would probably like to avoid that. If they see people organizing on one website, they might decide to get proactive to avoid it. Or maybe not.

I’ve got the white painted top and hoping I never have issues with it due to the different construction. The MIC top issue steered me away from a leftover 2024 Badsquatch that was marked down 12k from MSRP.

BTW, if anyone is interested in it…

Bring suggestions and solutions to the conversation, not criticisms.
A warranty does not help with a failing top, it will just fail a few years after for the next guy. I have always kept vehicles for many years and miles and my only concern is this mic top long term.

Solutions are the top needs to be replaced with a different construction top.
Full new Replacement value credit towards a painted or white top.

Post your website on the Facebook groups to help get attention.

I can’t get on board with a class action suit looking for a cash settlement. I am not helping some lawyer make $$$ while I end up with $18.23 and a bad top.

If we think of other useful suggestions I will chime in.

Sorry for the late response. My rear camera was having intermittent freeze problems and became nearly useless eventually. I really don't remember all the different quirks with it. It just became unusable. Since they replaced the two modules about a year ago, I haven't had any more issues.

So I still had a leak after getting my Bronco back with new roof panels. So they came to pick it back up. They've had my vehicle for 2 weeks now. Was expecting it back today and just received a message one of the new roof panels had a crack, so Im guessing a few more business days now. They told me they had 2 other Broncos in their shop with leaks and have reached out to corporate for further advice. They've also just set up a rain simulator in the shop apparently. As long as I have a loaner, they can take as long as they need to fix.

@joeman thanks for creating this outreach, just added my name to the list. At 42K the top on my 2021 2dr OBX has reached failure, cracks have begun delaminating and Ford declined responsibility.

Sorry to hear you're having this problem, but it is NOT uncommon and you are NOT alone. It's a shame that @Ford doesn't honor this defect. Thanks for adding to https://fixourbroncotops.com/.

I would like to see more support on this site, whether you've had problems or not, we need more numbers.

This may not help, well....it doesn't much, but here goes

These tops look to be an imitation of commercial aircraft interior crush-core panels, which are VERY hard to keep within quality specs consistently.

This design, especially around the edges, looks like the panel buildup and cure could go screwy if the press operator sneezed too hard the night before; especially if more than one press is used for production quantity requirements.

A sweeping design, and production process, change of these MIC panels is in order for a large enough, consistent improvement. ...

-- my opinion for those wanting to get Ford engineering and subcontractor to make a change.

Hey, that includes me!

One of the main reason why I decided to sell my Bronco. I just didn't trust the quality of the MIC down the road once the warranty is up. I had mine replaced upon taking delivery in 21' and didn't trust the replacement knowing the issues have never been fixex 5 years later.

My '22 is fine, from my perspective, they fixed it. I remember the issues they had first year, it made me wait and extra year (which I'm glad) for my Wildtrak. At that time, a soft top wasn't an option for a Wildtrak.
