Ford’s MIC tops are failing. Cracking, delaminating, warping — and they know it. But once your warranty’s up? You’re on your own.

That’s why I built this: https://fixourbroncotops.com

We’re not asking — we’re demanding Ford take accountability and cover these tops for the life of the original owner.

This only works if we come together and turn up the heat.

Ford needs to feel the pressure — let’s give it to them.

Nice site, thank you for putting this together. Had a 2007 MazdaSpeed6 with 2.3 Turbo DISI motor, they had issues with the motor, lots of failures. They extended my power train warranty to 6 years from 3 to cover anyone affected. I would be happy if Ford did something similar.

Well, at least someone is doing SOMETHING instead of just posting complaints on this forum. Thanks for the positivity and support! 😂
This forum drives more than you think even after Ford left it. Its still monitored.

Good to know—hopefully this site is also on Ford's radar for a little extra nudge. I really like this forum; the knowledge here has been super helpful since I got my Bronco.

"Time to make noise"

I don't know man, my MIC top is pretty noisy by itself, I don't think it needs any help on that! After 60-70 mph, the deafening wind noise enters the chat!

My Bronco badlands sasquatch 2 door with the MIC hardtop and added sound insulation has not shown any signs of cracking, discoloring, or deterioration. It's a 2022 and I have over 40K+ miles on it. I live in San Diego so the weather averages nice and sunny. I have driven in snow and a blizzard, rain, etc. I have made several trips from SD to Texas, too. The only problem I had a year ago was rear camera problems which the dealership balked at doing anything about it until I contacted Ford about it, then the dealership replaced two modules that cleared up that problem.
To bring things forward, I just added the ARB twin air compressor under the hood. Other mods include Rock Slider electric 12 inch drop down steps, dual hood lift struts (greatly eases hood lift and adds more clearance for working in the engine compartment), mud flaps (prevent rock damage to the bronco as well as other vehicles), parachute hand grab handles and metal grab handles, fog lights in the front steel bumper (white and yellow, Baha brand).
I'm enjoying it every day and it's the sexiest looking vehicle I've ever had...

This is solid. At least there is documentation of people’s tops in one place now, not just threads.

I’m an engineer for a forklift company. Biggest struggle with warranty/issuing a field fix is proving that there is an issue. This is going to be great to have numerous pictures in one place, that is very hard to ignore.

One thing that might be good to add is the build date off your door tag. It’s always good to have numbers involved

You need to add "Have you had the top replaced more than once" and allow pics of each top .

I also would get rid of the responses of no I haven't had my top replaced. They can create their own Mic tops are great website.

Submitted my case. Also, quick typo on the Home Page, see attached image.

The large majority won’t worry about this anyway if their top is fine. It won’t make a difference

I thought about that. But I wanted to keep this site open...if you don't have a failure now, you may in the future. This site is for all MIC top owners, not just the ones with failures.

The hard top leaks and dealer warranty hijinks on my first 23 Badlands were so bad that I bought a soft top and called it a day.

After my first Bronco was totaled by a distracted driver, my second 23 Badlands was delivered with a hardtop that is so far leak-free -- although the dealer performed the clam shell glass repair long before it was sold new.

My plan for some extra peace of mind on long trips is to buy a Raingear Half Cover. I wish everyone good luck with their tops. We shouldn't have to jump through so many hoops to enjoy our vehicles.
