Some type of wiring will still be needed for older models without it.

I honestly have no idea which models come with this type of color changing ambient lighting, not something I’ve looked into. Was this just changed for 26MY?

Very possible they’re all wired for it now (if it isn’t aready a standard option across the models) because I can’t see Ford using different body harnesses.

I can try and find the part number for the lights, but it may be difficult if it’s new for 26. Usually takes a while for the parts catalog to catch up.

Edit: Nevermind. I see someone else commented that their 25 has it, so I guess it isn’t that new.
Weird that there seems to be zero posts about it (the 2025's)

I don't know about other 25 owners but when I select max brightness of any color, it will stay that way until the next time I start the car, and the circle defaults back into the middle intensity of the color scale. Also thought it was strange that no matter what color you pick it goes back to the default blue when you open your doors. Feels so half-baked like someone at Ford was forced to add the feature against their will and just half-assed it.

There was an OTA released a while back that fixed that issue. Possible your bronco hasn't received it yet.

It goes back to blue when you turn off the car and open the door but the next time you start the car it'll go back to the color you had previously selected.

Hmm. I have had a few OTA updates perform but that's still not fixed on mine. I'm still waiting on a fix for the 25 2.3L cold start misfire issue that's hopefully going to be released in Q2. CEL came back a last week. While I know it's a software issue so I'm not overly worried about the engine, it disables remote start and we were just in a cold snap last week and it was kind of a bummer.

Thanks I will use this guidance to help my wife with the TV remote also - I'm sure that will go even better.
Indeed, well played.

Try resetting the unit? Press and hold track forward and power buttons together until it restarts...

Ok, so I have this (ambient lights) on my '25 Badlands, BUT it only seems to change the color of the driver's footwell. No rear lights, and the passenger light stays stock blue. Is this 'normal'?

Seems like this is always the first feature to get trimmed on Fords, kinda weird seeing them add it later? (I had a 2018 Ford Focus that lost half the wiring and lights during the late '17 model years).
