This. The 2.3 Turbo is admittedly zippy. I'd still much rather have the old 300 CID In-line 6.There is more to vehicle choice than HP.
I want DEPENDABLE range that can be replenished in a matter of minutes.

For most vehicles, the hybrid premium will pay for itself in about 5-6 years in increased fuel ecconomy. But mantenence is higher as you have twice as many systems to break.for those saying hybrid savings isnāt worth the expense, thatās true if you are talking about upgrading to a new car for the sole purpose of saving $ at the pump, but if you are already in need of or on the market for a new vehicle why would you not consider the option?
Do I also wish for a Bronco V8 option? OF COURSE I DO! But Iām also happy with this announcement IF they find a way to get it right.
Which company is phasing out hybrids? Every single one is embracing and expanding their hybrid and EV offerings.
Itās not a real-world photo - itās a screenshot from a promo video released back in 2020.I'm more interested in how they were only going 37 mph @ 3900 rpms. Were they standing on the brake also?
In 2025 you could buy a 4XE Jeep Wrangler and Grand Cherokee, in 2026 you cannot. Maybe they will come back at some point?Looks like they are embracing EV and hybrids.

- Stellantis said the move was the result of shifting customer demand, and the company plans to turn its attention to "hybrid and rangeāextended vehicles."
- The move to eliminate traditional PHEV models comes as Jeep and Ram gear up to launch a range-extender PHEV powertrain, where the engine acts as a generator, and the wheels are powered solely by electric motors.
Has stellantis resolved the battery issue that recommended parking 4XEās outdoor only away from structures? In 2025 you could buy a 4XE Jeep Wrangler and Grand Cherokee, in 2026 you cannot. Maybe they will come back at some point?
In '26 Jeep dropped the 4XE and added the 392 back into the Wrangler, and dropped the full EV pickup, Ford dropped the Lightening, where are they headed?
Chrysler backed off on the EV only Charger and put an ICE engine in it.
Lamborghini dropped a planned EV car.
Things are in flux right now as the tech is so rapidly changing, it's going to take a few years to sort it all out. Buy what you want, I just don't like it when the OEM's force stuff on us and people just buy it cause they want a car.
I have no problem with hybrids or Ford making a profit. Iām not sure if the 392 Wrangler or any of their Limited Edition models are profitable for Jeep, but if they are then why couldnāt Ford do the same? This is the right move by Ford. Sounds like a lot of the naysayers here don't even understand the concept of hybrid. If you don't like the hybrid option, don't buy it. Nobody is going to be forced to buy a hybrid Bronco after all but it's an option that will resonate with the masses as hybrids have surpassed BEV's in popularity and are on the upswing. What are people here upset with Farley about exactly? That he's not introducing a low volume V8 model or more manual transmissions that consumers don't buy? Ford is in business to make money and sell vehicles, not cater to niche interests.
I agree about the PRIUS best car I ever had, except when it got hit by lighting as I was driving from VA to Corolla beach NC one day, when it hit the passenger mirror, it blew it up to a million pieces and the car died, the horn came on and would not stop. disconnected the battery and reset, the horn came back on instantly and the car would not even turn on when pushing the start button. The Prius has been possibly the #1 most reliable car since it's launched.
Also consider your accessories are all electric (and more yes, more reliable)
No belts to change
Your brakes last forever because they're barely used.
No starter to go bad.
Etc etc.
My only concern is reliability. It will certainly have problems. And cost of repair.
I guess they did by not making them anymore, LOL.Has stellantis resolved the battery issue that recommended parking 4XEās outdoor only away from structures?

Yeah, it's an odd time now. Jeep did just do this:In 2025 you could buy a 4XE Jeep Wrangler and Grand Cherokee, in 2026 you cannot. Maybe they will come back at some point?

And it doesnāt match the rear doors. I also have a never ending grease mark 1inch up from the trim now. Conveniently reapplied every time the window goes down. But they donāt rattle. This is part of Ford heritage. It still boggles me that dealers wanted to charge $2000ish to change the window trim pieces for just 2 doors.
