Ladies and gents, YOU bought a Bronco=noise, it's not a whisper jet, I'm glad you're trying to reconfigure to quiet the noise, when you figure it out let me know, my hearing was trashed while working as a jet engine mech. So I hear noise, but not as someone with perfect hearing.
Good luck in...
Got a question to all that know about suspension.
1. Installed the fox elite 2.5 coil over shocks
2. When going over a couple of woopsis the rear end bottoms out on the second woop, usually traveling around 20 mph
3. What do I need to do to prevent this from happening?
4. I have the knobs maxed...
MT BAJA BOSS A/T, great tire
No too loud, but heavy tire lost about 2 MPG. Good price, paid $1900 for five tires. I'll see how it performs off road, have not tried them in that environment yet.
One more thing to be concern about, specially when hiring the trails, No thank you, that's A lot of glass over your head, unless you never will be hitting the trails.
I'm very old, bought the Bronco WT, because it was different, yes albeit pricy, but what isn't now a days, will it brake? eventually yes, have I modified it, not really, it's just find the way it is, don't care who laughs at it, do I go off road? yes.
Last new vehicle I'll ever purchase...
Let's see, just replaced my coilovers with a set of foxes 2.5 elites, and brand new 35" Baja Boss ATs, so that's about more than 2k for sure... and then some because now I'm only getting between 14 - 15 Mpgs... heavy tires.
Got a call today and was informed my vehicle was ready, so I asked if they did a front end alignment. He said no, I asked why, he said that pinion seal was replaced. That's great news, however they should be more specific when they talk over the phone. Either way I'm glad it's only a seal...
You're right, that's what they did, they RnR the pinion seal, drove it, no leak noted, they are dropping my bronco at home. I'll see and check for leaks after driving for at least 100 miles or sooner.
So I was getting my new tires and during the front end alignment I asked the specialist to let me take a look underneath my Bronco 22 Wildtrak Sas.
I noticed that there was a leak at 48k miles.
Contacted dealer for appointment, got a called that it needs to be replaced, lucky me still under...
You're right it's either the camera or a lose wire somewhere, but the dealer went ahead and did the recall for the camera replacement, so I wondered if they really replaced the camera....hmmm
