Bronco Hybrid 2025 Rumors?

Ford already tested a hybrid Bronco at the testing grounds in late 2023. But I doubt it will be a 2025 release. With the new battery tech coming out in 2025, it may be a 2026 release.

Personally, having owned several battery-based vehicles, I would not buy the first year of a plug-in battery tech release in a model line. Sole hybrid - okay. Plug-in - no. Battery management modules have been a problem for most of the manufacturers. I would want proven reliability before I went out crawling or cruising beyond the mall.

Having the first year bronco I know what ypu mean ,It's why I'm looking to get a new one.

No insight on the Hybrid, but I’d doubt Ford would eliminate the 2.7 from the Bronco as about half the Bronco’s sold are equipped with the V6. I would not be surprised however to see it limited to fewer trim levels and perhaps to become even more expensive. After owning my ‘23 V6 for 15 months and 14k miles, it’s worth the upcharge for the smooth and effortless torque and essentially zero penalty in mileage. I’m averaging 19.3 mpg with about 60% of that being interstate travel. My friend with a ‘22 2dr 2.3/7-speed is averaging about the same.

Yes I have one now and love how it gets up and goes and my 21 Bl 2dr handles like a sports car., looking to replace it with the same, I went ahead and placed and order for a 24 just to hedge my bets. The one guy talking about whats coming up ,was saying since the 2.7 can be tuned to match the output if the 3.0 in the raptor it was putting too much competition on the Raptor. The Raptor is the money maker so to get people to buy more raptors they wete cutting the 2.7 from the lineup. Again just a rumor. But with all the option cutting on other products it wouldn't surprise me.
