FYI, your location is spelled wrong. Having family from there, I believe it's Vuhginia.Dumb question do I need to remove the skid plate to change the oil on my 2024 wild?
Hold it in place for a minute while it trickles down. Agonizing minute but it's possible to do a change without an errant drop. Thanks all. Yup, it took me a while to figure out which skidplate but then easy. I hate the plug on the oil pan. No real control of flow. Probably lost a quart of it to the driveway when draining.
Looks like good solution, unfortunately only an option on the 2.7L engine apparently.Installed the Ronin plug on mine, works great!
I only put drain valves on oil pans/drains that are a PITA, like the stupid plastic plug Ford is using on EBs. Luckily, my '24 2.3l has a simple, tried and true metal plug. Not that it would necessarily negate the need to pull the skid plate, but has anyone fitted a Fumoto valve to their Bronco to facilitate easier oil changes? I've put them on all of my vehicles, you replace the drain plug with the Fumoto valve, then when you want to do an oil change, you just flip the valve 90 degrees and it drains. Once done draining, you flip it shut. I've run 250k+ miles with them with zero issues - no leaks, and there is a lockout to prevent it from being inadvertently opened.
