Isn't there a step to reassign the wheels to their new locations for the TPS? How do you all do that?
They relearn automatically on the Bronco. On my other cars.. no so much. Confirmed by airing down/up for offroading.

For me, not hard at all. Just sit in comfy waiting room having snacks/coffee while watching TV until the Service Tech comes grab me when done. ;) :D
Then you find out the new guy used the impact wrench to torque the lugs to either 5 or 500 ft*lb, hah.

Why not just "work smarter" and get a hydraulic lift installed in your home? 😄😄
And what does a septuagenerian do when he's 45 miles from pavement, and 60 miles from a town with services? This, in western Juab County, Utah, near the Nevada border.

I had just finished the change and was wrestling the flat back onto the storage spindle (or trying to), when a hunter drove by--the only person I saw out there that day. So four hands got it lifted up.

And then you proceeded to rotate the other 3 tires?

One advantage of the "mall crawler" Outer Banks is that the standard 18-inch tires and wheels weigh a lot less than those monster truck tires on the more serious off-road Broncos.

You still have to lift the heavy tires up to the vehicle. A $100 hydraulic jack is working smarter not a $30,000 lift. I know I know this is a joke...

Definitely true. Unless you actually rock crawl your way better off without monster tires or the Sasquatch package. You get a better ride better steering response better handling and better mileage. Plus the vehicle is narrower which has its own advantages.

Just lower the lift to exactly the right height to put the tires on ;)

This is like the age old question of if an emergency comes up that you need to leave quickly while getting dressed, is it better to put one sock on then a shoe or both socks on then both shoes. Changing 1 tire at a time would only take a couple minutes to get on the road but if you have all 4 tires off and need to get to the hospital in a hurry ??? Hmmmm

I don’t understand the point of rotation. When I drive the tires are rotating all the time.
i like your thinking, didn't say it was right, just like your thinking.

A study has shown a vehicle experiences a non repairable tire failure at a rate of 30%. One could confidently add to that percentage if the vehicle is routinely off roaded. If the vehicle owner pays for tire rotation at say $40 every 10K miles they are $200 deep at 50K. Almost the cost of one tire. If at a minimum one of those tires fell into the 30% group and experienced a non repairable condition, the rotating scenario is tossed since you won’t just buy one tire. If you rotate them yourself or get it done at no cost then that tips the odds slightly in your favor. My lifetime experience has shown it is profitable to not rotate the tires and have a nice tire repair kit in the garage I used to rotate them in my garage but through experience determined the tires last to their promised mileage if I leave them alone. The tires on my 2006 GT convertible( Pirellis from the factory) had 50K on them and were suffering dry rot even while the red dot was still visible and the tread while worn was still passable. Enjoy those Broncos..

It's easy and hard at the same time.

Getting the spare back in without denting/stratching the rear camera mount takes a few tries.

Getting the wheel back on the hub with the holes aligned requires the heavy ass wheel resting on my foot then at the same time using both hands and foot shuffling it back on.

Can I do it? Easy. Do I want to do it? hell nah. 😅
