Ford OEM Winch Kit Discontinued

Reached out to a few part dealers but it looks like the Ford/Warn winch kit is no longer available.

I heard it was discontinued also on a different thread. Kind of assumed this would happen when they dropped the price on them a little while ago.

… on Sunday I tried to get to the M-1821-BR4 winch links all we’re down. I was finally able to print the installation instructions.. Thought Ford had sold all their inventory, all of them were made in the end of 2021, beginning of 2022.

It would be good if Ford could still sell the frame horn reinforcements… just install mine yesterday- they are a nice piece.

Hammerbuilt like Hidden Winch, would be a much cleaner look for a Bronco… I doubt that Ford shared moving the intercooler…

Fewer extra parts for ford to supply than the M1821BR4 design and still would work well with the HD Module bumper.

Kinda expected this given the price, but bummer.

Been hearing for 6 months or so that WARN is going to discontinue the Zeon series in favor of the newer Zeon XD series. I figured that was gonna be the end of this kit at some point, but at least as of today... Zeon is still on the website. So must of been something else.

No one was buying them at retail, they had to fire sale them to get the inventory cleaned out and that took like a year.
I hope they offer another kit again but I can understand if they don’t.
It was a hell of a bargain.

I installed the @Metal-tech 4x4 reinforcements. Hands down one of my favorite mods that no one will ever see. Such a shame too because they were beefy and reasonably priced. Plus, top notch customer service.

That top strap was a pain to install the first time because the space is so tight. But it’s doable and not terrible once you understand how it works. Also, a ratcheting wrench makes for a much easier job!

I think the FPP winch package sold out / got discontinued around mid December. I was looking to buy one for a different vehicle because even w/o the Bronco kit is a good deal for a USA made Warn winch (EVO is their China line).

Anyhow, hem hawed around & was OOS. Signed up for email. Got notified on 1/9 it was available but when I clicked Buy Now the website was defunct. Thought maybe it had to do with Ford Racing moniker change. Called FP/FR last week and they confirmed it’s dead.

Several 3rd party vendors still showing the kit. Nearly all have 1-2 week lead times indicating drop shipments. Took a gamble on Stage 3 who had one of the lowest prices & free shipping. They accepted the order & took my money. No word on shipment (or cancellation) yet. But now their page for the kit says product unavailable. My order still says processing. Pretty sure it will be canceled soon.

I think other 3rd parties will catch on and their pages will dry up as well. Hate to see this deal fade away!

So when the Everglades returns, with both 2.3L and 2.7L availability, a newer Warn winch model will be fitted with a revised (enhanced) mounting arrangement. All is good.
