@Felix808 has goat fab sliders, they work! His sliders rolled this rock 20ft down the trail. I couldn't stop laughing because the rock wouldn't let go. They are made of good steel and work.

Stuck between a rock and a hard place. 🥁
Actually, it was a rock and a set of trees. Rock was center of the trees with nowhere else to go 🤠

Sounds like I could be a part of this club lol.

I also recently got my 8112s installed on my SAS Badlands.

While it took me a couple weekends of spare time, it was fun and not bad. Dropped the LCAs to get the factory Bilsteins out.

Topped off with Method 709HD, Baja Boss A/T, Icon tubular UCA.

had a little fun out in Anza Borrego two weekends ago playing with some settings, the 8112s definitely are badass on washboard and some whoops. Still playing with all them knobs to get dialed and get comfortable adjusting for different conditions. On the street, the significant reduction in brake dive and better turn in is kick ass.

What was your thinking/motivation on replacing the OEM upper control arms?

I noticed some do and some don’t, but given that the 8112s don’t change the suspension geometry I’m just curious why folks are doing it

It was arguably unnecessary, honestly I figured “while I was in there” to do it, also just in case I get a wild hair up my ass 2 years from now when the tires are shot and decide to go 37’s, so maybe “future proofing” but we will see.
I went with 0 offset on the Methods, mixed feelings when staying on 35s but again, in the event…

Nice write up. We LOVE these shocks on the Broncos. Pricey yes; but so worth it. Theres a reason we keep selling these out. We are down to just two sets again until Late January!

Glad you were able to get some use out of them already. We love seeing anyone put these on the Bronco!

Nice spaceship/tent!
Shiftpod, been using these tents for 5-7 years now. Developed by some folks from Burning Man, but a cool story to read about how they have evolved.

Do they stay cooler? No, not without a swamp cooler or A/C. There are provisions for that but not my scenario.

Do they stay warmer in the cold, especially with a tent heater? Yes!

Most importantly they are easy to set up, do not flap in the wind, stay fairly low light inside throughout the day (can arguably sleep in), and are pretty darn sturdy in the winds.

There are so many great tent options out there now, I have a Gazelle T4 as well, many go with ice fishing pop ups etc.

Love my Shiftpod spaceship tents though, I have two sizes. The larger is a beast to carry but I can easily stand up inside and change.

Good write up. I’ve been looking to pull the trigger on the 8112s. My usage is very similar with minimalistic/functional modifications. How are they using the stock UCAs?
Update: I have installed my 8112s along with Metal Cloak UCAs and links. Ride height is set to 0 bc I am maxed out 81” total. I’ve been tinkering with settings but need to get off pavement to really see what they are about. Overall I’m less than week in on them too early to say a whole lot. Mounting locations are fairly easy to access but the JCO dials require some small fingers. Shout out to Storm for sharing the details of setting etc.. I was able to get a very good deal on them 1,900 off couples with that ride height 0 setting were my primary reason to strike.
Always open to getting ride settings form those of you running these.🤙🏼
