Stuck between a rock and a hard place. That's an interesting lift - not perch, not spacer, but rock...

What was your thinking/motivation on replacing the OEM upper control arms?Topped off with Method 709HD, Baja Boss A/T, Icon tubular UCA.
It was arguably unnecessary, honestly I figured “while I was in there” to do it, also just in case I get a wild hair up my ass 2 years from now when the tires are shot and decide to go 37’s, so maybe “future proofing” but we will see. What was your thinking/motivation on replacing the OEM upper control arms?
I noticed some do and some don’t, but given that the 8112s don’t change the suspension geometry I’m just curious why folks are doing it
Nice spaceship/tent!Sounds like I could be a part of this club lol.
I also recently got my 8112s installed on my SAS Badlands.
While it took me a couple weekends of spare time, it was fun and not bad. Dropped the LCAs to get the factory Bilsteins out.

had a little fun out in Anza Borrego two weekends ago playing with some settings, the 8112s definitely are badass on washboard and some whoops. Still playing with all them knobs to get dialed and get comfortable adjusting for different conditions. On the street, the significant reduction in brake dive and better turn in is kick ass.

Shiftpod, been using these tents for 5-7 years now. Developed by some folks from Burning Man, but a cool story to read about how they have evolved.Nice spaceship/tent!
Update: I have installed my 8112s along with Metal Cloak UCAs and links. Ride height is set to 0 bc I am maxed out 81” total. I’ve been tinkering with settings but need to get off pavement to really see what they are about. Overall I’m less than week in on them too early to say a whole lot. Mounting locations are fairly easy to access but the JCO dials require some small fingers. Shout out to Storm for sharing the details of setting etc.. I was able to get a very good deal on them 1,900 off couples with that ride height 0 setting were my primary reason to strike.Good write up. I’ve been looking to pull the trigger on the 8112s. My usage is very similar with minimalistic/functional modifications. How are they using the stock UCAs?
