I am considering the Rough Country Rock Rails but I wanted to see if anyone had other suggestions. I live in Maryland so I am concerned that pinch weld covers could rust and a lot of running boards I look at seem to not cover that as well. I appreciate any suggestions to look into.

What specifically is it that you seek? I ask only because you reference pinch weld covers, rock rails AND running boards. What do you have now, what is it you want to have and what are your concerns? I agree with @Brian_B about the pinch seams not being a rust threat.

Mine aren't hidden, but they’re unnoticeable. I painted them with black bedliner coating. There’s nothing to hold water and make them rust that way. If you look, you can see them above the running boards but not enough to worry about.

I am looking for something that hides the weld somewhat but not necessarily comes in full contact. I’ve seen some photos of rusted weld covers but I guess those are rusted but not necessarily compromising the weld itself. Sorry, learning as I go.

This is such an easy fix, brush-on bedliner coating and forget about it forever.

Ditto on bed liner or black paint!

Once you get the first trail scratch you'll never look at the pinch welds again. That stupid scratch will be all you see

Oldhippie, that thing is way to clean, come over to the mountains/desert with us some time

The ez lip you can get on Amazon isn’t permanent and it just sticks on. Can’t remember what size to buy but if you do some measuring you can figure it out. But I have to say I am in the tape it and paint it club. Plan on doing it to mine soon with some 2k raptor liner.

Used that stuff on the under side of some motorcycle fenders once. Held up really well.

Well, I cant speak to any potential rust under the pinch weld covers; but I installed the DV8 brand and am very happy with how they look. If I recall correctly, the fitment was a little touchy. It's been awhile.
