Apologies if this was already posted, although long a good video to watch that came out a couple days ago.

Just received my set and hoping to install in the next few weeks! Thank you @Hotshot Offroad!

Too bad they don't make these for 37s and associated full suspension lift kit to come along with it.

As someone not interested in 37ing or more an IFS suspension like a SASed Bronco (I would get a Jeep for that), these really are end game for me. That said the $ is hard to justify unless I would be taking full advantage of their high speed capability. If not, then would 6112's be "close enough" in all other attributes including low speed off road and on road 'pot hole/speed bump swallowing' and body motion control? I suspect they would be at least 80% (could be wrong). If adjustability in low speed/on road was primary, would other adjustable shocks be just as good? Probably not, but close maybe while at the same time being somewhat cheaper? Truth is I would be too lazy to take enough advantage of adjustment for this or that particular situation

Just thinking it through. If only they were $1500 or so lower they would be almost "no brainer" but at over $6k...

@Enginerd thanks for posting review

They are definitely up there in cost. But to be honest its very hard to argue just how good this set up is for the price compared to some of the other big players in the game on these higher end kits. Most of these higher kits are going to push that 6k mark with having full adjustable coilovers all around. But we know its not a small pill to swallow for sure!

Comparing the 6112 to 8112s is going to bring quite a few differences. The short version we tell people is simply this; do you want an essentially fully customizable ride, you off road more than the average joe, and you want a kit that can handle everything you throw out it; both on and off road? If yes, 8112s is the way to go.

If you are simply looking to add some clearance, have something that can handle the mild off roading for the occasional ride, and you're not concerned with dialing in the overall feel; then 6112s will certainly do the truck. Those or even a few other kits out there.

Regardless, if you need some help please reach out anytime! We also have a few kits on sale and we could probably help save you a little coin on your set up. We are always trying to help members out the best we can!

I guess it depends what you mean by "mild off roading" but stock Broncos with the recalled stock Bilsteins have done the Rubicon and pretty technical stuff in Moab. Obviously neither 6112s or 8112s are going to get you anywhere close to a custom purpose built rig for hardcore rock crawling.

I'm trying to decide between the two and would be curious if you could point to specific trails/youtube videos that show the difference. e.g. a trail I would be able to handle with 8112s but not the 6112s. My guess is that's <5% of all trails out there (maybe <1%?) and most of this would come down to driver skill and willingness to take body damage. For example, 6112s + willingness to take some body damage might mean you have more trails available than 8112s + zero tolerance.

On the one hand, they are expensive. On the other hand, they are rebuildable... 🤔 "But honey, I'll never have to buy shocks again!!"

Is this from adjusting the threads on the 8112 shock body to ½ inch?
Yes.

I've been driving on them for a few months now. Mostly on-road obviously.
I ended up setting the high speed at 4, low speed at 10 and JCO at 3 (all from full open) as Shock Surplus suggested. Initially, I had the high full open, low at 8 and JCO at 2, but the ride was not good or controlled at all. It bounced around just as much as the factory Fox and I was disappointed. I made the changes and it's a world of difference.
I haven't tried out the suggested settings for off-road yet. Can't wait to feel the difference.

I've had these at 70mph in the whoops and the harder I pushed the smoother they got. Honestly I was scared going that fast. It was controlled and smooth but my brain was saying this shouldnt be happening in this Bronco. Beyond impressed with these and the dials make it easy to switch between rocks, desert, or on road. Here's my guide.

***In all of these, please play with each click; they actually DO make a noticeable difference.

Thanks for the settings!

I hardly get into the high-speed stuff. That's more in New Jersey than PA.

There are two off-road parks not too far from me that have everything from a light trail that you can take your Subaru on to a rock garden that they only allow buggies to go on. They're mostly rocks though.

This is good stuff. I've decided to go this route and get the 8112's as they seem to be best to fit my needs. I also learned that we can run 37's on these once we add 2 inch tower spacers, so good to go.

Would a 2” body lift be a better idea? Set to 1” lift, these coils are appealing because all your geometry stays pretty much stock. Won’t a spacer push CVs again?

Ah. That's probably true and the safe option for sure, but the 8112 shock body may limit the droop (Not sure). I'm reading that a 3" lift on stock CV's has been ok, but definitely in the "suspicious" range. Would need to replace the upper control arm too.

These are my dream shocks :) I have KINGs now and I do love them and have taken the time to dial them in perfectly. But even just the internal bump-stop control (both for compression and full extension on these is SOLID. I have the 1st gen KINGs for the Bronco and they have the dual-coil setup in the rear - its a little noisy which is fine by me. Rides great and I fly/float over rocky+faster trails with ease. The 8112s are purpose built and designed for 35s, which I have and don't plan to go to 37s at all.
