Hey how do you like the eibachs? Considering just upgrading instead of replacing my broken and recalled shock with another recalled not yet broken shock. 😂
I forget its aftermarket, just had them set to an inch higher, slapped Kenda Klevers on my stock rims and it feels like it did stock, as in I can still toss it around the streets and stuff

You do need a rock joint though or whatever it’s called for the rear track bar though, but at an inch higher with 35s, Im hard pressed to notice the difference in ride quality

Damn, I got the recall but this is my only car (wife and I are year round motorcycles for work commutes and other stuff) ... but this is my road trip car. Can't take camping gear on the bikes and definitely not the dog.

So I still have to drive it. Hopefully this isn't "inevitable" but a "chance" as it would suck being stuck out at a campground and have to tow back to my area.

My Bronco has this recall. It has others too although this one concerns me most.

My daily driver 2023 Chevy Colorado also had a recall for the fuel pump, very similar issue to the Bronco. I did not get it done. After a few weeks I suddenly got a check engine light- drove it only a couple of days like that. Second day it just started sputtering and stopped when I was at a traffic light. I got it re-started after a lot of cranking- I was trying to make it home I was only 4 miles away. It sputtered again and died, I was lucky to coast into a gas station. I waited 5 minutes. It started, I got it home called GM towing, they towed it, pump was in stock, a day later back on the road. No cost to me at all, no issues since. I hope the Bronco dies not fail me like this, it is not a good feeling- even close to home.

I suppose we could avoid these Ford recalls and buy GM products. Then we can be "members of the class" in a lawsuit and wait a couple of years for resolution, then be disappointed when a federal judge dismisses the case. Ford brought out the Mach E, Bronco, Lightning, and Bronco Sport all in the COVID era and through the resulting supply chain collapse. I got 4 open recalls now on my '22 WT now with the FP issue, but I'm willing to cut them some slack as they do seem to be trying to make things right.

In fact, the wife and I love our '22 2-dr WT so much, we added a leftover '24 4-dr WT to the stable yesterday.

I may have missed it but what is the actual failure of the faulty pump?

Curious how this (and the strut recall) could affect my Bronco which is currently at the body shop getting a new frame.

Can they release the vehicle with 2 "delivery hold" safety recalls out there?
A NEW FRAME?? Can you tell us what happened?

Something about contamination or an issue with the jet pump

I was at the dealer (Korum Ford) for a temp plate snafu, and asked about this. They knew little about when the fix might be available. I also asked about the windshield adhesion recall, and that requires body shop, which they would have to out source. I also asked about the back up camera recall. They said they often break the spare tire mount removing the camera and they will they will probably have to order a replacement, but only after it is broken. They said Ford won't let them have extra spare tire mounts on hand for such occasions. My guess is the bean counters require the recall dollars to be tracked more closely. Who cares what the end customer experience ends up being. Something tells me @Ducati1098 could remove 100 rear cameras without breaking a single mount. Am I right?

I mean, I have no idea how they’re breaking the spare tire mount lol seems kind of ridiculous. I’ve only replaced like 2 Bronco rear cameras and didn’t have an issue 🤷‍♂️

I'm guessing if you can do the first one without an issue, it's high probably the following will be successful. Apparently they have not had the "Ah ha" disassembly moment yet. Grab here, push that and twist this and it comes right out!

GM products have issues too. I bought a brand new 2017 Camaro with custom tires and wheels off the lot. It was so nice. Had the 8 speed automatic. I am a manual guy and it was the first automatic for me in a long time at the time. The transmission was terrible- shaking, shuddering, tach going up and down driving it at a steady speed. It was in the shop more than I drove it. The 8 speeds of 2016- 2019 are terrible and most have this issue- and no fix. I got rid of the car. Now the GM 6.2 V8's have serious issues. Something in the crankshaft or pistons, no real fix. GM advised to use 20W-50 oil to limit the burning oil. They can burn 2-3 quarts in 1K miles I have read- terrible. So what is safe out there to buy these days? there is a risk in any make, model you buy- it's the luck of the draw- you may or may not get a good vehicle. It depends on the defect, could have been multiple suppliers making the part and one had a defect, it went undetected and got assembled.

Exactly. This is from memory, so look it up for better accuracy and the details. As I recall it, in at least one of the GM class action law suits (I believe it was one of the automatic transmissions and I think I saw they used a similar/same argument in another case) the GM legal team argued in court that these crap transmissions were not covered by the GM powertrain warranty and the class action suit should be dismissed. The crux of the argument was that the warranty ONLY covers manufacturing defects and materials. GM said the issue with these particular transmissions in GM vehicles was a DESIGN flaw, and that was not explicitly covered by the powertrain warranty. Basically, these transmissions in GM cars were inherently pieces of crap from the get go. No level of expert production or a robust quality assurance system would resolve the issues and GM was not responsible for that! I could not believe it! Even if this unit was not their own design or build, they are the OEM and selected that unit, then sold at a profit it as part of their product. How in tarnation can they not be held accountable for that? I could make the argument that the root cause of dang near EVERY flawed product is a design defect. Material selection/requirements/testing AND producibility are part of the design! If the design requirements called for assembly by a team of untrained chimpanzees (non-union for sure!) and the chimps failed in building a quality product, then it's not a mfg defect but a flawed design.

ugh. wonder how long it will take to clear this one up.
I guess it's proactive to announce the recall sooner, but it's a little frustrating to have the "we have a remedy, but no parts" message on 3 of them.
I know parts have a LT & you can't just drop an order of 100k or more fuel pumps or shock sets into the supply chain without some pains, but it would be nice if they'd prioritize fixing our stuff...
I agree!

Rear camera is no big deal “The remedy is anticipated to be available in the third quarter of 2025”. But the low fuel pump issue seems to be a real safety issue. I’ve been experiencing quite a lag on acceleration but I’ve been thinking it was the turbos. It seems to be getting progressively worse.
