Seeing this recall, I wonder if this caused the “Bucking Bronco” issue some people reported. Had it on mine/still do. It’s infrequent hesitation during acceleration when first driving it. Could never duplicate the issue for the dealer, so fingers crossed this is the fix.
Unlikely. Fuel pressure low enough to cause any type of symptom will almost immediately set a check engine light.

My 21 with 35k miles just started doing this in the past few months. I thought it was some extreme turbo lag or throttle response but maybe it's related.

My 21 was doing this also. When I had it in the shop for the valve recall, they looked at the transmission. Ended up with valves ok and a new transmission.

Your infrequent hesitation during acceleration when first driving it could be the transmission shifting. I know many times when my transmission is cold like sitting overnight, it will hesitate while shifting one or two times. Once it is slightly warmed up it doesn't do that.

So we shouldn’t be driving our Bronco’s while awaiting a fix? Are there aftermarket fuel pumps available to have them replaced sooner?
Who is saying to not drive your Bronco?

My fuel pump failed a year ago this week, on day 1 of a 7 day trip. It took multiple tandem pulls to get the Bronco out, 24 miles of BS to get back to pavement for the tow truck. I felt terrible ruining a full day of wheeling for the group, when I got back to camp a couple days later (dealing with the Bronco) I brought back a keg of beer to make up for it. Only Bronco in the group, smh.

Right after I submitted a NHTSA complaint and their interview, they launched the investigation. Glad to see others can get this fixed before this happens to them!

Just got a recall notice in the mail yesterday. And it was for the backup camera. Which I don't care about. This is the first vehicle I have ever owned that even has a camera. Half the time I forget to even look at it.

If I get the one for the fuel pump, I'll gladly take a new fuel pump though.

Same. But I figure while they're in there digging around they might fix the compass that's been f'd up since the last camera fix.

This isn't limited to automatics. Myself and others with manual broncos have experienced the same thing over the course of ownership. It happens too infrequently and randomly to really get a read on why it's happening.

Haha, I wish! That would have been a lot cooler than having my Bronco paraded through the Trail Jamboree camp for all to see on the flat bed tow truck. I'm now "that guy with the Bronco that died", 200-300 people knew who I was after that.
