Would love to see some realible evidence either way….but owner self reporting is generally no such thing. Do you have any?
Edmunds did 20mpg lifetime and 25mpg best. If I got 19 city and 22 hwy in a hybrid Bronco I’d be stoked and that seems doable.

If Jeep can get mpg that is very close to the Braptor 3.0 in the 392, Ford can engineer a V8, especially of lesser horsepower that can get reasonable mpg. And yeah, many of us are with you, particularly us old guys who were around when the original Stroppe Bronco put the Ford Bronco and its racing program on the map.

Maybe this fall I could buy the Ford tune for a little more power.
So I kind of dig the wheels, but moving backwards to a 35? Blasphemy! ;)

This is the most confusing thread I’ve read in a while.

I dunno about that, owner reports on the F150 Powerboost mpg seem very positive.
Don’t know what F150 boosted owners you have talked to but the one major gripe from the ones I know is the mileage isn’t any where near what they believed they would get. This entire debate reminds me of those VW diesel owners who would tell you they were getting 60-70 mpg. Then VW gets found to be lying about their mpg claim at 51 mpg. Suddenly all those 60-70 mpg claimers got real quiet. Bottom line, you only live once and the vehicle that takes you to the cemetery only gets 14 mpg. Live it up if you can and step on it.

It is commonly called the "Big Lie". The bigger the truck, the bigger the lie. Ford uses the same AFE Bias constant across their entire truck fleet. I posted about how to calculate and adjust the AFE Bias back in 2024. Didn't receive much traction. It's no longer my torch to carry. @CalvinT at least made my original post into a pdf for others to reference.

Just to be clear I’m not saying they get EPA, I’m saying they are notably better real world than the V8 plus are faster. Even an extra 3mpg would be 60 miles of range in a Bronco and it wouldn’t surprise me if it was closer to 5mpg better than a 5.0 V8 in a Bronco.

My 2011 F 150 crew 4x4 with the 5.0 does quite well. I have owned Ford V8’s my entire life, and the biggest disappointment with my Bronco is no V8 option. Have a great Fourth. Enjoy your zBronco.

I guess I’m in the minority wanting a hybrid powerboost Bronco. I’ll take better gas mileage and more power please. A Mustang sure give me a V8 but a Bronco I don’t understand the appeal. Maybe it’s living out west where fuel range matters.
I bet a Coyote bronco gets better gas mileage than a 3.0 raptor.

The EU just can’t get out of it’s own way; they’re a hot mess in so many ways…..
Without being political can you expand on the many ways that the EU is a hot mess? I am honestly curious to hear what your thoughts are or what the media is reporting.
