I would buy one. No lie. I would have gone for the 3.0 in a 2dr as well. >sigh<

As far as Porsche goes, they are hamstrung by EU rules on EV's and no more gas cars.

<---- My blue '77 has a V-8... >mutters<
Yep, the 3.0 would have been awesome, then a V8 in the Braptor; that’s what most of us wanted. Make the change now and print money.

The EU just can’t get out of it’s own way; they’re a hot mess in so many ways…..

Or AT LEAST the 450HP 3.5L EcoBoost V6; I think it would fit easier than 'most-any V8...

...said he who is still buying odds-n-ends for his '24 Raptor...

Maybe this fall I could buy the Ford tune for a little more power.
I don't see how the 3.5 would fit easier than a v8.

It would never happen but the 7.3 would fit the easiest.

I guess I’m in the minority wanting a hybrid powerboost Bronco. I’ll take better gas mileage and more power please. A Mustang sure give me a V8 but a Bronco I don’t understand the appeal. Maybe it’s living out west where fuel range matters.
So far the market has shown no truly significant mile/range gains from hybrid systems in a heavy truck like the Bronco. Toyota has given up and given us hybrid systems that are all about low end torque mostly for towing, though they get minor credit in the EPA cycle ( but no significant real world gain).

So more power, but also with significant weight gain which only hurts off-road attributes. Jeep has us covered in this niche of a niche market desire. For the vast majority of off road machines, ICE is the future…

I dunno about that, owner reports on the F150 Powerboost mpg seem very positive.

how are engines that burn guzzoline going to be the future when there's maybe 4 years of gas left out there before it becomes prohibitively expensive

This forum doesn't seem to be all rich fat cats, mostly poor people like me trying to upgrade to hoss x.0

I really hope you aren’t serious… My degree is in Geology and I focused in O&G that’s extremely untrue

I always take owner self reporting MPG with a large scoop of salt. People consistently report on this forum MPG’s that defy the known physics of the bronco and the thermodynamic efficiency of modern ICE motors 🤣

Unfortunately too many owners don’t know how to properly measure MPG and manufacturers have every incentive to inflate the computer reporting. Throw in the psychology of it all, and it’s almost always two or three or four better than reality….

I guess if you ignore all evidence to re-enforce whatever you want to be true I can see what you’re saying.

Would love to see some realible evidence either way….but owner self reporting is generally no such thing. Do you have any?

Not at all rich, but you don’t have to stretch and put stuff out there like that. We have decades of oil left and the only thing that would raise the price of gas in 4 years are the same factors that will today and did yesterday; economic instability.

What’s more troubling is the warming planet and extreme weather, but there are those who counter argue that even as they experience it.

We just aren’t ready for souless EVs man, no matter how much the powers that be or the manufacturers want to brainwash you with them; they mostly suck in comparison.

Sure, I’d take an EV over the engine in a KIA, but not a Porsche, BMW, or a Ford, maybe over these new trashy Toyota hybrids though, but I ain’t keeping score! :)

Until there is actual peer reviewed, scientific evidence that you plan to share, I’ll just take it that you’ve believed the other extreme view and we’ll agree to disagree.

In the meantime, I want a V8 in the Braptor and a bigger V6 in the Badlands. I love my 2.7 and have no complaints on it, but I’m American and damn it! and I want more!

What is your source on the time limit to affordaable gasoline-I have seen much to the contrary and nothing thus far to back up your assertion. Your source is.....?
