Make My V8 Bronco Raptor, Ford!!! Things Done Changed!

Happy America Birthday folks!

Just read that the $7500 EV tax credit has been sh0t out back, so sales may tank further; too bad.


Well, other manufacturers have already begun the move back to the good ole ICE, ICE baby; “engine”. (Yes, I did just do that), so how about Ford?

Sure, Ford makes several V8s, but they’ve ignored for years enthusiasts asking to bring the V8 back to F-150 Raptor and to the Bronco Raptor. Well, that calculus just changed, friends!

I want my 2 Dr Braptor. Now I want it with a V8 and yes I know it’ll kill the already short range, but I don’t care! I want these V8s to be obnoxiously loud and fun to wheel in. I’ll carry some Rotopax on the roof if I have to.

So tired of being ignored and being force fed less than optimal options for top dollar.

While at it, get rid of that horrible Mustang EV; it’s embarrassing.

Just light typing while at the beach with my beer breakfast on this wonderful holiday.

Are any of you guys with me, or am I alone in this?

Well considering Dodge just pulled their head out of their ass and brought the SRT team back, maybe it could happen. I would love to see a 5.0 in mine. Hell even the 7.3 seeing the one dude do it made me consider it

I would pass out in this sand, but looking at storm clouds. Besides, only drinking the wonderful Creature Comforts Brewery’s Summer Shandy. Not quite the Shandy from Narragansett, but good stuff.

BBQ is next and all of this made me start thinking of a V8, both the juice and The JUICE!

Indeed. Then for the fancy folk; Porsche finally came to their senses as well. Why would I ever buy a Porsche EV? Idea was just stupid from go.

Scout better also wise up. Range extender is a start, but put a V8 in that too.

For regular Bronco, move up to thr 3.0 in Stroppe and Badlands; then we’re cookin with grease!

I guess I’m in the minority wanting a hybrid powerboost Bronco. I’ll take better gas mileage and more power please. A Mustang sure give me a V8 but a Bronco I don’t understand the appeal. Maybe it’s living out west where fuel range matters.

I would buy one. No lie. I would have gone for the 3.0 in a 2dr as well. >sigh<


As far as Porsche goes, they are hamstrung by EU rules on EV's and no more gas cars.

All I want is the 2.7 with the 7MT. Love that broad power band!

Out west, range anxiety can be a thing even for gas engines, once you get off the pavement a long way from the nearest gas station.

I'm all for more options. I think a hybrid 2.7 with 400hp would be fairly ideal for me.

I wish the 2.7 sounded good...other than that it's perfect.

Or AT LEAST the 450HP 3.5L EcoBoost V6; I think it would fit easier than 'most-any V8...

...said he who is still buying odds-n-ends for his '24 Raptor...

...including new tires...35x12.5x20 Goodrich KO3s and new wheels...

Maybe this fall I could buy the Ford tune for a little more power.
