I have the 4 tire morreflate system to air up and down. I tried Stauns and other brands and they are easy to do but take longer to air down and not very accurate. With my system I just connect all 4 and air down. You get pretty fast at winding up the hoses when you’re done and Morreflate replaces any parts or compressors at no charge or questions asked. I believe they have lifetime warranty now on all their stuff.

Even using these for years. They‘re knockoffs of the Staun I think but there is nothing cheap about them.
Tire Deflator, 10-30 PSI Adjustable Automatic Tire Deflator Kit, Air Down Tools Offroad Accessories for Jeep, Car, Truck, Motorcycle, and ATV Tires (4 Pack with Storage Bag) https://a.co/d/bGeceAn

@Dugout, when you replaced a Schrader valve with an Apex valve, what do you need for airing up? It hasn’t been clear to me on what adapter you need on a standard compressor hose to work with Apex. I assume you need a unique chuck that you have to swap out on your air hose to work with airing up an Apex valve. If it is a unique chuck, are there any issues that you know of with incompatibility? Thanks.

I use EZ FLATE air hose and chucks. It’s the only chuck I have ever used. I got a single hose when I bought the 4 tire kit.
I’ve had zero issue with the valve. I have the XL length with OEM BD SAS rims and it’s still tight for the release valve and air chuck. That would be my only complaint, but that’s a rim issue not valve issue. I can air down in less than 5 minutes and be on the trail. I have loved them. To me worth the investment if your off-road 1-2 a month.

What chucks do you guys use? Any issues?

I tried the apex chuck as it is high flow, but screwing it on/off proved to be problematic with the beadlocks getting in the way. Ended up getting a locknflate and it is much better.

I use an Apex screw on chuck. I found most push on chucks leak. Apex makes a push on but i have not tried it yet.

The Stauns are quality, but are not good if you need to change your pressure at all . Another drawback to the Stauns is there isn’t a good way to assess if the pressure you set on them changes….unless you use a sharpie or some other mark….

I went with these after using the Stauns for a bit…
https://over-sand.com/

Still have the Stauns, but the. Over sands are my go to as they have a built in dial. Not as bomb proof as the Stauns, but far more practical…. If you off-road in more than one environment….go from dune flat (10psi) and then some other day need traditional off road/18 or 25 psi

Also +1 for the quick disonnects

Go with a 4-way inflator/deflator system if you can. There is a company in Utah that makes one for a decent price - can't remember their name. I built my own for $150.

The biggest advantage is that all four tires have the same pressure when you're done going up or down in pressure. I use a timer to get the pressure that I want, after a couple of times figuring out how long it takes to get where I want to be. Three minutes to drop from 39 to 20, ten minutes to go back up again with my Smittybilt pump.

I have never seen an airing up station anywhere in Utah, Idaho, or California. Where do you find such a thing?

Fast?

That's been my problem. Finding a solution that will clear the beadlock ring. Ford sure put those valves close. It's a PITA to even get my air cuck to stay on those, much less a deflator.

So far, I've just been using those painfully slow automatic deflators and making a sammich or something while I air my 37's down.

And el em aye oh yeah. Those deflators take so effin long it’s hilarious. Then homies with their four hose systems. After the second time using them they just throw it in the back. Gets all tangled up. Adds another five minutes just to get their knots undone 🤣
