Hi Bronco Fam

I am a soon-to-be new Bronco Outerbanks owner looking for some help on my lift/wheel/tire upgrades.

I will start by saying I’m not looking to build an overly aggressive off-road monster. Any off-roading we do will not be very extreme, so candidly I’m looking more for “form” over “function”. At the end of the day, we are going to use this as our every day driver, so while I want a nice rugged look, I don’t want it to come at the expense of our day-to-day ride quality.

With that said, I’m looking for some of this forums wisdom on the setup I’m contemplating:

1. Lift kit: RC 2 inch lift kit (link here). I ran this lift on my old wrangler and loved what it did to the stance of the vehicle without sacrificing ride quality. Anybody have any experience with this lift (or a similar one) on their Bronco that they can share? Also open to other options if folks think I should go more or less lift (or a different route entirely).

2. Tires: Nitto Ridge Grappler 275x65r20e (link here). This is where I could use some help. I am torn on the tire size because on one hand I don’t think we need the standard 35x12.50 tires that most folks put on with a lift like the above, but I feel like if I stick with the standard 32s, after I put the 2 inch lift on it, that it will look like my Bronco skipped leg day at the gym lol. That’s where I landed on these 34x11.00 A/T tires that have a nice aggressive look, but are also good every day tires that will fit the lift and won’t poke out of our stock OBX fenders too much. Anybody have any thoughts or suggestions on this? Am I thinking about this all right?

Thanks and share pictures if you any that would be helpful!!

2” lift with 34’s are still going to look pretty small. I ran that same lift on a non-sas big bend with 37” M/T’s. You’d have to do a little searching, but I’d say base the lift off of the tires size you want to run. I’d think you could pull of that tires with a 1” level.

Hey now, it's not that small.

2.5" of lift on 34s

This looks great IMO! What’s the width on your tires? Curious how much they poke out from the fenders

Thank you. These are the Badlands optional OE wheels so they are +55 offset. They don't have any poke. I love these wheels but that's the one thing I'd change. Tire size is 285/75r17

It sits about 1" taller than a Sasquatch Bronco. I am however on coilovers, not the 2" spacers you linked initially. It's sitting around 2.5" of lift though.

Edit: Oops must have messed up photo attachment. Re-uploading.

man this looks great! Which coilovers ?

Also to the OP, I’ve been along the same mindset. Just picked up my non sas OB 2 weeks ago and am saving for some wheels and tires. I was looking at a big 33 or 34 as well.

If you are daily driving, do not lift or put bigger tires on…handling and mileage will suffer…but I get it, vanity is a thing
I Would go with billet Readylift spacers over the plastic RC ones
https://www.tirerack.com/suspension/suspension.jsp?make=ReadyLIFT&model=SST+Lift+Kit&group=SST+Lift+Kit&partNum=RL6921200SST&autoMake=Ford&autoModel=Bronco 2 Door&autoYear=2023&autoModClar=Big Bend&suspensionFitsVehicleExactly=
20” wheels are mall cruiser, not rugged…go for 17” wheels with some good street AS or AT 34”-35” tires
good luck!

Meh to each their own! I don’t see why 20’s would look bad if that’s your style! Go for it man!

IMHO every Bronco used day to day on and off road should have 1 to 2" lift, a tire no wider than 11.5, 32 to 34" diameter on 7 to 8" x 16 to 18" wheels with some positive offset. Just me.

2” Rough Country Lift, Rough Country Tie Rod Reinforcement, Wildtrak Takeoffs, Rough Country Winch + Mount (because we off-road alone)… Driving feels like stock… rugged, but not overdone

Was yours a sas ? Just curious. Did it come with the modular bumper? That’s one thing I really want on my OB.

No, it’s a Non-Sas OBX that came with the plastic bumper from the factory. I found a takeoff modular bumper and skid plate, added fog lights, tow hooks, and Winch Set up. Everything was basically direct bolt on except for the hooks that had to be removed to fit the Mod bumper (because I was too cheap to buy the OE Mod bumper air cooler mounts)

Awesome! Good to know! I honestly like it better than even all the aftermarket bumpers

So do I! My next hunt is the steel Badlands rear bumper… I was pretty patient with what I added though, especially when you consider most of the stuff is from OfferUp / Marketplace
