A.I. is just jealous it can't have a BroncoAccording to ChatGPT
“The Ford Bronco has a fatal accident rate of 6.6 per billion miles, which is 2.3 times the overall average. The Ford Bronco Sport has a rate of 6.2 per billion miles. Both are among the most dangerous vehicles on U.S. roads.”

I think this means we collectively suck as drivers. It also may be fake news as these AI tools hallucinate. They offered no data on fires. My Bronco won’t even start unless I light a cigar though, so stay tuned for another fire…

I have noticed a trend, most people who remove the crash bars add bigger tires and keep those tiny baby stock brakes doubling the unsafety factor. You remove the crash bars, it's almost inevitable.
I believe that even the Base with the 30" tires got the same brakes designed for the 35's. Approaching 70K on my Sas Bronco, no complaints on the brakes.I have noticed a trend, most people who remove the crash bars add bigger tires and keep those tiny baby stock brakes doubling the unsafety factor.
I'm in one on FBI haven't noticed any 90’s Econoline forums or FB groups.
IMO Big Brakes were the single most significant upgrade on my build. I have a big turbo, downpipes, water methanol injection, a racing clutch, tunes, Dana 60s, 38" tires.... If I could only have one of these it would easily be the bigger brakes. On road you definitely notice the much quicker and shorter stopping distance. Off road, every time my cheeks are squeezed going down a steep incline I am so thankful I have them even if stock brakes would have also gotten me down safely.I believe that even the Base with the 30" tires got the same brakes designed for the 35's. I'm game for a "Pontiac Fiero road trip tips & tricks" thread.Broncos. That's all y'all think about.
Would it kill you to discuss an Edsel from time to time?
Tiny Stock Brakes??? Interesting because I had not thought of them as tiny... or even undersized. They seem quite adequate to me... I do not seem to get much brake fade but I am not racing... Have you experienced issues? Why do you think they are undersized?I have noticed a trend, most people who remove the crash bars add bigger tires and keep those tiny baby stock brakes doubling the unsafety factor.

The "tiny stock brakes" are every bit as good as the Ford Ranger which can tow over 7k pounds. The stock brakes are not an issue for most Broncos with the electrically boosted brakes. I have not experienced any significant issues with fade or power, but I am not pushing the limits of the system either.Tiny Stock Brakes??? Oh I am familiar with big brakes.... To be honest I have larger rotors on mine but still running the stock calipers and it does make a difference. I just think the statement without any clarity puts fear into those who do not understand the system... Mine are adequate. Yes I could improve them beyond what they are by going to a 4 piston caliper but I honestly have no need. Like I said it is not a race car and I do not drive it as such. I have had those in the past but these days I would like to keep my license. I can still put the anti lock brakes to work when needed and more brake than tire defeats the purpose. The "tiny stock brakes" are every bit as good as the Ford Ranger which can tow over 7k pounds. @JerryG is absolutely correct that big brakes would certainly be a welcome modification for big tire Broncos. When I upgraded the brakes on my Miata back in the day, the stock system wasn't inadequate, but the difference that 12" rotors and Brembo calipers made was impressive as hell.
