I fucked up and let it update. I’m worried about passengers shattering a window now. I would usually hit unlock before people opened the doors.
Probably need to have the windows actually adjusted then. It shouldn't be close to shattering just opening the door.
If you get them adjusted just right, then don't catch at all when opening but they also still seal well. I can pull my door handle as fast/hard as I want and the window wont catch at all.

I will say the drop-down still works on my Bronco after I upgraded it manually. Don't think there is any pending DDM/PDM update either. 🤷‍♂️
Yeah it's very confusing. I think some just continue to have it no matter what. I have no idea why though.

Some older models have it, some don't, some had it and then it was removed... it's a mess lol
I was told by a low level person from Ford support that the feature was coming back.

As @Newbie said, (massive) flip-flopping...

I feel your pain.
Unfortunately, we're probably stuck with them moar doors for the long haul now.
Very happy with the 4 doors. Love seeing the rare 2 doors as well. Hatred and mockery of one or the other is just silly- I know people claim it’s all in good fun, but… I think that’s a dumb form of fun. To those who disagree: Go make more friends. Be more positive than negative.

This appears to be the same windows feature that I had in my 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt:

In 2008 Ford Mustangs, it's normal for windows to partially lower slightly when the door is opened, allowing the door to open without damaging the seal or the glass. If your windows are bouncing back or not fully lowering when the door is open, you may need to recalibrate them.

Here's a more detailed explanation:
  • Normal Operation:
The windows lower slightly when the door opens to create a gap between the window and the door seal, allowing the door to open without damaging the glass or the seal.
  • Troubleshooting Window Issues:
    • If a window won't raise fully: Try fully raising the window with the switch, then hold the switch in the "up" position for two seconds.
  • If a window won't lower: Use the switch to fully lower the window, then hold the switch down for two seconds.

  • Relearn the Window Position: Some Mustangs might have a "relearn" function. Try holding the window button in the up position for 10 seconds with the doors closed to see if that fixes the issue.

I hope this stupidity ends at some point.
I will die at some point, but as long as people long to pose there will be companies willing to sell them makeup, high heels/lifts(Tom Cruise, RDJ), four-door Porches, hair extensions, Mach-E "Mustangs," and Bronco Sports.

You've never said an unkind word, even in jest, about a Kardashian, Elon's hair plugs, DeSantis's heels, or anyone else who augmented their natural body? The EV Hummer? The Cybertruck? A forum member's jest as "stupidity" that must be stopped?

You should be more concerned about falling from the stratospheric heights of your ivory tower if it weren't shoved so far up your own insecure, egoistic puffery.

This right here... Our 23 did the recent window update. Ever since Ive been fighting the stupid passenger side windows. I can reprogram them and after a few stop start cycles they are hanging up again and not dropping. Pretty frustrating. I wished it had never updated- zero issues with this vehicle before this "update"

No. That’s the normal feature that every bronco has.

This feature has nothing to do with opening the door to lower the window.
This feature is where it will slightly lower the window prior to opening the door when the unlock button on the fob or inside is pressed.

Never said I was perfect- odd agenda for you to push. And damn… I seem to have struck a very sensitive nerve.
