Couple of questions. Convinced my wife to ditch the Jeep JL and she ordered a 2025 Bronco—it arrived two weeks ago. It’s great. A couple of things the JL had would be nice to have on the Bronco. Those features may be present, but I can’t find them.

1. Is there a way to activate the backup cam when not in reverse?

2. Is there a setting to engage the horn when the doors “lock” from either the remote, app, or the keyless button on the exterior handle?

The only other thing that would have been nice to ah e is Driver 1, Driver 2 settings for seats and mirrors.

Not my first rodeo. I looked. I may have missed it, but if you think it’s in there, try citing the page next time.

Yeah, I looked it up too for my ‘25 HE and didn’t see anything about using it except in reverse. There may be a FORScan hack for it but I’m not in that game yet. My 2019 Colorado just has a Camera button on the main screen menu that toggles it on for 10 seconds or so but I haven’t found anything like that on the Bronco.

FYI, you’re going to want upgraded reverse lights, trust me. If you get some bright rear floods mounted high enough and wired to an Aux switch, that might provide a good alternative to a brake check. 🙂

All good info. Had Oracle LED reverse lights on the JL, so I’ll probably find something similar.

Not sure on reverse camera - if you go into Baja mode you get the 360 camera view though, if you have the 360 camera option (not to be confused with Copilot 360, which is just marketing lingo junk) - otherwise you can hit the Camera buitton and get the 360 view as long as you are under 20mph I think? I haven't seen a Forscan code for reverse camera, but I know it can be done on F150... but not stock on the Bronco. So there's probably something Forscan can do if it can be found. Worse comes to worse, it can be done aftermarket (Naviks etc), but that's getting into the weeds.

If you double-press Lock on the fob the horn will honk and the lights flash. Or you can press the Alarm key and get a more persistent indicator. Odds are you will probably hit alarm every single time if you have the fob in your pocket and lean over a table anyway...

There is no seat position memory with any trim level to my knowledge, unfortunately.

If you have the powder-coated steel ‘Capable’ rear bumper, the Diode Dynamics hitch mount reverse light is NOT your solution. I tried the install and the DD harness extension/adapter and factory harness wouldn’t fit inside the Ford OEM hitch mount and it was all going to be dangling right in front of the muffler no matter how I secured it. I guess I could have wrapped it in heat tape but it was going to be visible from behind and crappy-looking.

There is a setting in the computer that will force the rear camera to stay on for a short period after taking it out of reverse and even driving ahead for a bit. It's useful when trying to line up on a trailer but that's the most you're going to get from stock vehicle settings.
