I reached out to CVF to let them know about this potential issue. We’ll see what they come back with. Coolant temps look good now, but it’s 30 something degrees here so it really doesn’t count. If CVF doesn’t build something to address this then I’ll make my own baffle. Really don’t wanna go back to the standard location Intercooler. IAT2 temps are amazing now.

This looks very very different than my 2.7 interestingly. Heres is a pic of the same angle on my 2.7 with a high mount. It leaves a huge gapeing hole between the rad and fan shroud.

This is an interesting development. Wonder why there’s such a large difference... is it model year specific? Maybe the bumper type??

I’m thinking my radiator fans should operate as intended, but still need to put something between AC condenser and radiator.

Seeing a nice drop in IAT2/ACT2 temps with moderate boost. I plan to take some logs at some point, but so far I like what I’m seeing. Ambient was 45 F

Haven’t updated this thread in awhile, but have some irons in the fire.

Ordered some used 2.7L turbos off of eBay and sent them into TurboBay Performance. I know CR Performance is the go to for Ecoboost turbo upgrades, but they’re not currently allowing folks to send in turbos for upgrade. Evidently these 2.7L turbos are a lot harder to work on as they are press fitted and require a lot more time to tear down. That said, they want to sell through their current stock before they start accepting cores to upgrade (Last I checked with them)

Regardless, TurboBay is building me some custom turbos that will have a larger compressor and turbine, which should yield some decent results. It’s going to be a bit before I get them back, but I’ll be sure to keep you all in the loop as things progress.

For reference, the stock turbos are a huge bottleneck, as they only flow 44 lbs/min, while the Bronco Raptor’s flow 55 Lbs/min. These custom turbos should flow well into the 60+ range lbs/min

Also, working with someone from the Ranger Raptor community on a set of short ram intakes for each Turbo. Owner of the truck claims they made +35 RWHP over stock. Will be interesting to test. I’ll post more info on them once we get everything going.

Next attempt on my 4-second 0-60 run. 5.08 is my best run so far. Ported T-body and intake manifold with Boomba spacers on both.

Your signature says you have a ZFG e85 tune, you should easily be in the 4’s already 🤔

Yes but I’m not and I’m disappointed. It’s not much quicker than the Whipple stage 1-tune i had.

That’s very odd. Are your temperatures way too high or something? What’s the reasoning for adding water/meth?

Tell us more about your build and how you’re launching.
My build is in my signature. I do have a RC winch on the front and a DV8 full roof rack. I launch in Sand mode, traction control off, manual mode in 2nd gear and move it to auto. Power brake to 2,700rpm +/-.

It’s not functional yet. But I live in Texas it gets hot in the summer 100+.
