To me there is no "right or wrong" here. The new Bronco pays homage to the OG, but even in 2 dr. there are of course major differences in tech, displacement, HP, off-road ability, etc.

What works for you? Most buy 4 dr. Some may think they look better, but it is a practical thing for most. I would not have bought a 2 dr. if I also did not have a F-150 that seats 5 easily (tight in the 4 dr.) and also hauls a lot. I think you would see more 2 dr. sales if more people have a larger 2nd vehicle for just themselves.

So, b/c I have a large 2nd vehicle I could go for what I feel is better looking, easier to maneuver on trails and parking lots, and does have that OG 2 dr. thing.

I remember back in the day when I had a 4 dr. Explorer. Always thought the 2 dr. looked better, but I needed the extra space. Now I get to get what I want.....

Let the record show that it was you who resurrected the thread. The OP was made and no one bothered to respond to it until you did a year and 6 months later.

Many 4-dr owners hate the criticism that is levied by 2-dr owner at them. Despite most of it being in good fun, some take it personal. You couldn't let dead dogs lie. So all 4-dr owners who take the prodding personal in this thread, be sure to hold one of your own responsible.
We bought a 2-door specifically because it doesn't have a lot of room in it, with the intent for it to be our son's first vehicle in a couple more years (I get to drive and have fun in it til then - and teach him how to drive and wheel in it).

But if we had been buying it for one of us to daily drive, or as a family vehicle? We absolutely would have bought the 4 door. Plain and simple, 2 door vehicles are NOT family friendly, and that's what the MAJORITY of buyers are after - something that 3+ people can easily get in and out of, AND carry all their stuff.

That's why, shortly after our son was born, she got an Expedition and I got my first crew cab. We have never looked at small vehicles until recently, and only because he's going to need wheels too.

Sure and if it's got an automatic, it's not a real Bronco.
So if it has a 4-banger then it's not a Bronco, and if it has an automatic it's not a Bronco. But, you can't get the stick without the 4-banger.

Congratulations, folks! None of the "6G" vehicles with the Bronco name plastered on the front are real Broncos! The only real Broncos are G1 through G5. Now they need to rename this forum...

Based on the logic applied in this thread, this makes the most sense. Re-name it to the “Recall”.

I would actually argue that the G1 and G6 are the only “real” broncos……everything in between is a SWB F-150.

Sure they are, they were offered in 1st gens, unlike floor stick shifts (sacrilege!) which have never been offered on a Real Bronco.

Now that I think about it, I did drive a 4G Bronco with an automatic once.
