Commenting on a dead thread that nobody saw fit to reply to originally is stirring up what isn't needed. And yes, there are definitely 4dr trolls and stans on this forum, because people be people.

Y'know, we all engage in some poking and prodding now and then (when I have, I haven't meant it but I try not to get too out of hand about it), but this whole thread isn't fun, for you or most of the rest of us. Let it go. There are people on this forum that like to see people get twisted up, and you're playing into that going after them. Ignore them is my (earned) advice. It's the only way you win in the long term.
I tried to leave but they keep pulling me back

Dead thread or not its still a conversation and we all come here to give opinions, this was mine. I didn't say anything negative about 2 door broncos or their owners. Just as you say i could have left it alone everyone else could have as well. But to tell people they shouldn't comment is counter production to the whole notion of being on a forum.

I mean you just said you didn't care about what other people think, so I just don't understand why you would even voice your opinion and revive this thread after it being dead for almost 2 years.

You should've just let it die in peace, but no... you had to bring it back up lol
Why do you seem so bothered by my opinion? You could have just went passed this and not commented yourself so you added to the discussion.

I think it's insecurity.
Nah. It’s nothing more than tribalism. No more complicated than that.

“Insecurity” implies 2dr owners secretly covet 4drs. But if that were true, they would’ve just bought one in the first place (or trade in for one today)

the “afraid 2drs are on the chopping block” theory makes even less sense. I should be so lucky. Can you imagine what 2drs will be worth in the future once ford axes them?

That’s a HOPE, not a fear 😁

I don't think you understand what's going on. The original OP was clearly wanting to cause disruption. You came along and gave it to them. Some of us conquer, some of counter, some of us try to parry the responses so it doesn't get out of hand. That's a normal forum response of members that prefer not to have so much of this back and forth and would prefer to ogle tires and lust after portals. C'mon. Advice with a observation is not a command, but you are free to respond however you wish.

The topic continues to be mundane but the entertainment value...priceless!

Your logic doesn't make sense to me, but that's ok. I understand what insecurity means, and that "tribalism" doesn't preclude it (insecurity can often be a major cause of tribalism in group dynamics).

"Your [thing] isn't a real [thing] because I say so"

It's a cry for attention from pretentious people who base too much of their identity on exclusivity in ownership. I can absolutely assure you, the molecules that make up the vehicle don't care what you name them. If your life is so peachy that you choose such a thing to argue about, I envy you.

The thread popped up just like so many others. Regardless of what the OP started with, my comments were just MY opinion about MY choice and nothing negative. Its one thing to say you prefer a 2 door for whatever reason but If people are going through life thinking they are better because of the number of doors on a vehicle so be it.

I don't know how you came across it, and neither does anybody else. The assumption is you were searching for them, but that's probably not accurate. I've accidentally commented on years-old threads before without meaning to, so I apologize for jumping to that conclusion. On the point that these threads and the crass own-teaming commentary are tiresome and kinda dumb, yes I agree.
