  1. '21 Badlands rear shock failure

So I asked my service department if they could order the parts in advance of my appointment on the 21st, they told me to call the parts department. I asked if I was ordering the parts if I would be expected to pay for them and was given a "non answer" answer, so I guess I'm stuck waiting until...
  2. '21 Badlands rear shock failure

So it stopped raining, I went out to check the passenger's side.. They're both missing! (I thought the issue started before where I found the reservoir yesterday, so one went and then the other) Passenger side: Driver's side:
  3. '21 Badlands rear shock failure

See all the parts of the reservoir that AREN'T rust? They're the parts that face the outside of the assembly. See where the rust is, that's the part that is supposed to be sealed to the shock body, it's not supposed to be exposed to the elements.
  4. '21 Badlands rear shock failure

It's clearly not due to abuse, I can't imagine what grounds they would try to deny it. The only damage to the reservoir is from it falling off my Bronco.
  5. '21 Badlands rear shock failure

Guess what I found when I was riding my motorcycle home from work:
  6. '21 Badlands rear shock failure

If they deny warranty, that will be my plan... Also, not my first ford, but my first ford that actually had a problem (believe it or not)
  7. '21 Badlands rear shock failure

Pretty sure I wasn't involved with the design and development of the Bronco. Also, read a bit closer: "The New Vehicle Limited Warranty does not cover surface rust, deterioration and damage of paint, trim, upholstery, and other appearance items that result from use and/or exposure to the...
  8. '21 Badlands rear shock failure

If that's the case, then they had better stop selling vehicles "where the roads are treated with brine solution".
  9. '21 Badlands rear shock failure

If it's not covered, I'll pursue going with 6100's but I really hope this isn't the case. I would be trading both of my Fords in on another make if that's the case.
  10. '21 Badlands rear shock failure

I just realized that's what happened, the remote reservoir literally is missing :curse:
  11. '21 Badlands rear shock failure

I wish @flip worked at my dealer... Guaranteed I can't get them to order anything until they have it in the bay.
  12. '21 Badlands rear shock failure

Oh, and I also paid for extended factory warranty... so we'll see in 2 weeks I guess.
  13. '21 Badlands rear shock failure

For what it's worth, I see no mention of that in the '21 warranty guide.
  14. '21 Badlands rear shock failure

If the shocks aren't covered by warranty when I've never had this thing on a dirt road, they won't have to worry about the warranty because my insurance will cover the fire.
  15. '21 Badlands rear shock failure

Well I can no longer say my 2021 Badlands has never had a problem. On the way home from work my driver's side rear shock decided it didn't want to be a shock anymore and all the fluid came out. I was luckily only about a km from home and was able to limp it home. Unfortunately the soonest a...
  16. Factory Hardtop Arrived!

Particle board isn't really worth keeping for anything IMO. Just find yourself a stencil and make something out of nicer wood :)
  17. is Extended Warranty worth it?

If your vehicle breaks multiple times (or one giant failure) and you can claim against the warranty, yes. If it doesn't, no.
  18. OEM Goodyears 315/70/R17 vs. KO2 35x12.5/R17

Can't speak for 35's but I've run my OEM KO2's for 2.5 years now, they're good in rain and snow. I've driven at highway speeds (110kph) in fairly heavy rain and never once felt the vehicle was getting squirrely or anything. They're not a dedicated snow tire, but I haven't had any issues in...
  19. K&N Replacement Air Filter

No issues with my '21 Badlands (not that the trim has any influence on anything in the engine bay, AFAIK)
  20. Bronco Trail App Finally Released! 📲

Oh okay, I only read the first couple pages and the last 4 or 5 pages... thanks for clarifying :handshake:
