Loving my KO2s (C-load), got about 15k miles on them. Really quiet on the road, way less MPG penalty than I expected, pretty durable on and off road.

Will continue with the 33's or upsize to a 34" KO3 if available when these wear down.

The KO3's will be a good choice once the selection of Load Ranges improves. As of now, there aren't any LR-C's in our common sizes available, all LR-E's and LR-F's. Since the KO2 in LR-C is still being made, that's how I would go too... And the KO2 is still a great tire.

E Load on a Bronco? There’s so many other options 🤔
My Milestar Patagonia M/T's were E load as well, they were just fine, they are not as harsh on the street as people tend to complain about at the right pressure.

As far as the K02's, I didn't have much choice that day as I was leaving for Florida that evening. I was going to run the factory Sasquatch tires because they were light and cheap, unfortunately they didn't show up. I am rather happy with the E load KO2's and I know that the sidewalls will hang in the worst environments.

Same with my 255/80R17 Falken Wildpeak A/T3Ws in E. Bet those KO2s wear like iron and perform well for you a long time the way they have on all my vehicles.

Generally, the "load range" stigma is a holdover from the old days like bias-ply. With some heavy duty exceptions, E isn't going to change your life all that much. Weight, flex, grip, tread, wear, longevity, offroad capability, winter grip and mileage are all more important to me than load range anyway, and it's not realistic to encompass a tire's positive performance or negative potential with a single spec for weight bearing.

After long highway trips and several weeks of tough trails past few months - and the E-load KO3s don’t effect my already not-great mileage, and grab just fine.. I like that they are tougher in the sharp/shale rock places I take the rig, after sidewall cuts in the C-rated KO2s.

I 100% agree with this! If you’re in that kind of environment, then the added strength and durability of the E is a must-have to be able to enjoy it!

For me (sand/pavement/snow/mud), the E rating was just not needed and therefore not worth the cost on mileage and slightly elevated tire noise over the SL rated BFG Trail Terrains. There is definitely a difference in ride and road feel/quality though, each with their pros and cons. When I had the E rated K03’s on mine, I hardly felt the imperfections of the road. Their weight and stiffness put more of the road surface translation onto the car’s suspension, whereas the TTerrain SL rated does communicate those imperfections a bit more. I’d liken the comparison to walking in steel tipped work boots vs regular shoes. Each have their place, just have to know what is right for yours! I admittedly over-shot my first attempt, loved the white letter look over anything else. Happy medium with the white outlined lettering on the TTerrains during the Costco derby!

I will say, that I’ve complained about not being able to get the K03 to balance during the first 900 miles I had them, the T/Terrains sort of did the same thing when I switched them. At that point I figured something was wrong with the car itself and not the tires. By the time I was able to schedule a visit to the dealer, maybe 700 miles of driving, they settled down and have been perfect ever since. Lesson learned that perhaps I should have given the K03’s a bit more time to find their round on the car before tossing in that towel…
But at $2k and a 30-day 1k warranty period coming up on them, it wasn’t a gamble I was willing to take. I think BFG needs to extend that warranty to 2k miles and 60 days…

I put the KO2's on my Tacoma since I'm running 33x10.5x15. Not many choices in that size. Didn't have any issues with balancing and still to this day no problems. Once the tread started to wear I lost some rain grip but still happy with tires. I had BFG muds on before. They lasted a long time. Still had a bunch of tread left before I switched. Once they got to a certain point the tread was hard as a rock. Tires basically spun at every stop sign or light, no grip.

I have an appointment to install KO3s in 315/70/17 today. Yes, the F load tires. I anguished over this decision. However, people I trust have told me that the ride on the KO3s is great, even at the load rating. Discount Tire told me drive a couple of days and see, if no, they will order the C-Load KO2s.

I do really want the RWL for my Heritage Edition (I wouldn't care if I had a normal SAS). Let's give it a whirl. I'll update after install with Pics and first impressions.

Not much to report. I got them on today, but DT is only about 2.5 miles away on surface streets. In the short time I drove it, the ride is smoother than the OEM Territories, but at least to me that isn't hard (mine were bumpy as hell). I couldn't tell any ride quality issues from the F load. I talked to my DT rep and he says that everyone he has seen feels they ride like the E rated KO2s, which I have rolled with many times on my trucks. I would say based on this short intro ride, I tend to agree with that - save for the smoothness. This new tread pattern is extremely smooth. Real test of the F load is when I hit holes/bumps etc - how does the stiff sidewall absorb that.

It was dark when I got home. Pics tomorrow.

When you get a chance. Weigh the tire and wheel combo. Interested in stock Goodyear to BF Goodrich difference.

Alot of love for the BFG AT here. I have run BFG ATs on alot of different vehicles over the years and have the KO2 on my Braptor now. These came from Ford, so I can't speak to the balance, but they do ride well and BFG is a standard setter in many ways on tread wear and tire reliability.

Beyond the above, I can't stand the AT tires where it matters- traction. Get out in a grassy yard that has morning dew, you're not going far. If the road is wet, you will lose traction. They don't shed water very well in heavier rain and puddles either. It is snowy here this week and with 15k miles on them, they were getting no traction, in a dusting, 1" or 3" of snow. They grab rocks OK off-road but loose dirt and gravel traction isn't great either.

If you are coming from car or heavy truck tires, these may seem amazing in traction. I have run NItto, Toyo , Yokohama, General Tire, Goodyear and others in the AT/MT variants and there are much better options.

The biggest downside to many other brands is the need to move to Load Range D or E tires in the 37" and up sizes. These are geared toward pick trucks and need the higher load rating. Someone noted though that ride can be improved with air pressure on heavier tires.

I messaged BFG again and the D load 315/70r17 isn't part of the next phase of size releases but they are still shooting for 2025.
