Has anyone seen or done the AGS Air Gate mixed with a rear bumper tire carrier? Trying to avoid air under the hood or somewhere inside.

I have been thinking through similar issues. Having a portable unit takes up too much space and the rear-mounted options all seem pretty second rate. (The small air units are underpowered and the big ones e.g. Milwaukee are bulky for irregular off road use). So the best option seems to be under the hood. And for that the ARB seems to be the only game in town, though it seems way overpriced and overpowered for a Bronco that has already has diffs and doesn’t need air lockers.

Meant to ask, what’s your thinking on wanting to avoid air under the hood?

I guess it kind of depends on whether or not you have to have the hood open when using it? If you wire it up to an outfitter switch, I guess that could work. But then you would need to have a spot to hook up the hose. It just seems easier to have it on the back.

Honestly I’ve been running an ARB under the hood for 3 years now and zero issues. No maintenance at all. You never run it with the hood closed and it’s built to handle the temps of the engine bay. It’s actually designed around engine bays for install.

I wouldn’t put any compressor in the engine bay. But no complaints with my ARB single. I’ve taken temp readings on the single and double and both stayed around 200-250 degrees

I installed it on my Bronco.
I really like it!
I really like this setup. Was it a pita to run the power cables... especially though the hinge side of the tailgate, I installed my twin under the hood, with kr brackets

It was a small task. Not a huge ordeal/problem.
I used the supplied molex connector, But I repined it for larger gauge wire. (Bought different Molex terminals)
I ran (2)#8's for power and 16's for control (via aux switch)
Used a circuit Beaker versus supplied fuses.
I also got their air filter relocation it.
Overall, I think it good as works great and it not in the way of anything and barely visible.
I would recommend it, solid built quality.
