The ARB/Ford Performance mount is nice in several ways.

1. Mounts up much more solidly than some other engine bay mounts. It connects to the firewall.

2. You get the manifold included.

3. Still allows room to Turbo/intake because it tucks under the washer neck.

4. When sales happen, it's a fantastic deal.

The thread here posts some concerns like, the flimsy fiber board wheel wells lack 1 plastic rivet etc. It's not an issue, and you could make a bracket for it.

Not exactly a compressor, but I went with a Power Tank in the cargo area. Super fast inflation, and I can move it to the ZR2 when required.

Thanks Valhalla - I’m not worthy! You have done some amazing things and I’m learning a lot reading your thread.
I'm just a guy trying different stuff. Now BigMeatsBronco, snacktime, and so many more here... they are the innovators!!! Thanks for the compliment though!!

I used the American Adventure Labs cargo area mount and wired the power switch to AUX 6. It's a bit noisy in the cab but works great and stays clean. I also use the Thor's Lightning four tire hose setup. In my old Nissan Patrol I had the dual ARB mounted behind the spare tire on the tailgate, but I wasn't happy with it exposed to the elements. Had to clean the filters frequently.

The single cylinder is going to struggle to fill the 35s if you air down low. In my old Nissan Xterra I had the single in the cargo bay and it got very hot after filling four 275/70/16s (31 in. diameter) from 15 lbs.

Hi All - I’m looking to install on board air compression in my 23 Wildtrack. Seems like everything i review leads back to one of the ARB systems. Does anyone have thoughts or other suggestions? I’m not opposed to using ARB as they are a trusted manufacturer however wanted to hear from the vast amount of experience out there.

Also I was thinking of mounting the system on the inside of the tailgate instead of the engine compartment for easier access. Has anyone done that?

looking forward to any suggestions or ideas.
Thanks!
Installed the EGOI2 and Barnes Bracket. Works great and switch is right on compressor. $350 all in. Just used it to blow up my 12ft dingy boat in just a few minutes. Something I will use on occasion so didn't want to drop a ton of $ plus still had to buy ARB hose/inflator guage.

I did the ARB dual compressor with the AAL mount. Wired to a dual battery system under the floor and ran 4 air lines through a manifold behind the panels to each wheel well.

Another vote for ARB Twin with the DV8 storage mount option. 2 gallon tank mounted underneath also, but easier on Raptor since the muffler isn't in the same spot as the 2.3 and 2.7 options.

What plug are you using for the arb coupler?

I mounted my Thors Lightening using their molle mount. Hardwired with a switch by the mount and running through a CRS reel. Works great, easy to use.

I second the ThorsLightning. Very fast, and now with better switching and will also shut off at a target psi. (I use a remote.) ThorsLightning customer service is excellent.
Very impressed with your hose reel, jmanly, very tidy! I keep my hoses in the round bag ThorsLightning provides. It wedges in very neatly between the rear rollbar strut and the rear side window, so it's out of the way and I always have it.
@Porque No suggested the iAG inside-the-tailgate mount. Looks neat and a great use of available space. I bought iAG's removable steps (for Sasquatch only) and found their customer service to be excellent.
BUT: you can get the complete ThorsLightning kit (compressor, hoses, bags, molle mount) for the price of the ARB 2-cylindar compressor alone (minus mounts), and it's a bit faster, too.

Whatever you decide, check for July 4 sales. Tricky Dick sells the NAPA compressor kit. He's a Bronco6g sponsor, too.

https://absolute-wits-end.com/arb-fitting-air-coupler-pacifier/

for anyone mounting the coupler outside I highly recommend this “pacifier.” They make them for other brands also.
I tried to buy one of these a few weeks ago and noticed their website was down. I did a simple google search for the company and found a bunch of info about them. Sounds like they ran their business about as good as Advanced Fiberglass Concepts.

Sucks, because I haven't been able to find anyone else who makes a similar product.
