Did they ship the correct items on time for the price you agreed to? We can all misinterpret emails/texts/face to face interactions from time to time. It stings when we miss a sale, but fair is fair and all we should expect is honor the deal both parties agreed to. Let’s move on and not flame a...
4dr Wildtrak with stock tires and about 10k miles. I drive easy and get 20mpg combined. I get half that when off-road in 4WD and driving like a maniac.
I used to carry an ARB single cylinder compressor. Since I got the Bronco I upgraded to an ABR double cylinder and it halves the time it takes to re-inflate. To inflate from 15 to 39 psi I think it takes about 15 minutes in total.
Nice color Bronco BTW
My onboard compressor. Yes it’s...
I've been wheeling for 10 years on many types of terrain, except rock crawling. Deflating elongates the tire surface in contact with the ground. The width is unchanged. There are many youtubes proving this point.
The types of tires (road tires versus AT versus MT) will require different...
What I meant to ask about is the mounts. It looks like you have a flat plate underneath the XL80 bracket that does a nice job of keeping the XL80s secure and steady. Thanks
I use SPV brackets for the modular bumper with BD LP6's and get a bit of vibration of the beams when off-roading on rough tracks at speed. I'm going to reinforce them to strengthen them. I will say that the fitment and powder coat is perfect.
The LP6s are very good. I have the amber lens. A...
Funny, I searched for this topic and didn't turn up any results. However, down below in "similar threads" I now see:
Rusted Hubs(?)
Sorry for the dupe.
Yup.
At least the hubs don't fuse to the wheels like my Nissan did. I'd have to kick the wheels to break the lamination and get them off. Still they never showed rust.
Hi gang,
I rotated my tires at 5k miles and the surface rust on all 4 wheel hubs surprised me. I've had foreign makes previously and never saw this even after 100k miles. Just looking for some feedback that this is normal, expected, or WTH?
Thanks!
First thanks that the OP and his family had no injuries. I am chiming in because I until page 7 of 8 I only saw mentions of mashing on the brake pedal. On page 7 @Bmadda mentions pumping them. I'm not up to speed on the details of electrical assist braking. However, on older model cars when...
The low beam spec is for 10A. Just wondering if I should put it on AUX2 for 15A or AUX3 is fine. I have a pair of LP6s and the upfitter harness ready to go. The BD harness has so much more wire than needed. I plan to do the same and eliminate most of it.
+1 on the kudos and thanks for this info. Will try it out soon. My previous workaround was to switch to Sand mode and hold down the ESC button. That would reliably disable the system for quite a while - eventually it would re-enable from either coming to a stop or shifting into Park.
Are you...
I'm pretty sure our rigs are identical to yours in the North American market. At least I'd be surprised if fuses were configured differently. I hadn't heard of the fuse 29 trick, but plan to try it the next time this happens to me.
A few weeks ago I intentionally was running at a high tire...
I used the following products from AAL for this project:
https://americanadventurelab.com/product/battery-cutoff-and-maxi-fuse-bracket-kit/
https://americanadventurelab.com/product/rear-bronco-dual-arb-compressor-mount-drivers-side/
And while I didn't use this product...
Those pre-run wires are way too small to power a 60A compressor. I ran a 4 AWG cable from the battery complete with a mains fuse and cut-off switch in the engine bay as well as a fused distribution block behind panel where the compressor is. I've got other posts in this thread showing the other...
