I’d like to upgrade to a 13.5 tire on my stock beadlocks for almost all street driving. If BFG make a KO2 load range C in that size they would be on the truck already, but I’m forced to look for another (relatively light) brand. I want good street manners and not a MT. What are others running? It appears the lightest, quality AT is the Toyo AT3.. Nitto ridge grapplers are just so darned heavy.

Thanks

Have been in a similar headspace looing to replace the BFG AT on my Raptor.

Unfortunately most bigger tires in the 37" diameter and 17" wheel category are E load range and ~80lbs. Other than the BFG MT...

I went with the Kenda Klever MT2 tire in 37x12.5x17 . they are a D rated tire and weigh 75.92lbs each . Very happy with them as they are Not crazy Arse Loud . They have Great rain manners , great offroad , and balance out easy . Very Happy with everything I have thrown at them , even Sand . I also ordered a set for my Wifes Bronco

I run the MT AT 37x17.x12.50 not sure why you think you need a 13.5 which is just heavier. The MTs I have are over an 1" more wider than the KO2s and Load Range Ds.

The MTs are listed at 80lbs (vs 63 for the OEM) and weigh the same as the larger Toyo 13.5s.

The MTs are listed at a 13.0 section width and 10.3 tread width vs 12.5 section width and 10.1 tread for the OEM.

I do like MT tires though, my first set was in 1974 on my '71 Boss351 car when Mickey Thompsons on Cragars was the cool setup... (y)

thanks

I was casually looking at 37x12.5's recently - the two biggest contenders on my list were the Falken Wildpeak AT/4 and MT Baja Boss ATs, since I was looking for 3PMSF

Falkens were 76 lbs each, Load Rated E
MTs were 80 lbs each, Load Rated D

Kind of curious. Didn't see much difference in price between the two. I've still got another 25k miles or so left on my current tires so not necessarily looking to upgrade soon, just checking stuff out.

I've got 35x12.5 MT Baja Legend EXPs now, and they have been great except for snow - where they are ... ok but not great. I've had Wildpeak AT3's on just about every other vehicle and they have been a great tire, but I haven't had them in anything bigger than a 31" or took them offroad, so not sure how they do once you get bigger, but my Jeep buddy swears by them off road too.

Not sure it would be a mistake going either way, or if the load rating difference would make a big impact either way - the weight is close enough that it's a draw. Neither of those are 13.5" wide though - so not exactly what you are looking for, but a couple more data points.

I put a light weight wheel on so my total corner additional weight is only 7.4 lbs. All the info is here MT

^^ I don't disagree, but I really like the looks of the original '24 beadlock wheels and would like to keep them.

thanks

I don't disagree with that either :) I just wish Ford would of done the OEM design a bit better with inset spokes because they will get tore up instead of just the beadlock.

Milestar Patagonia's come in either 37x12.5R17 or 38x13.5R17. Pretty lightweight.
