I’m close to purchasing RTR Evo6 +18 wheels and larger tires for my new Braptor. I pinged RTR about lugnuts and was told that the OEM nuts won’t work, that I need “Tuner” or “splined” lugnuts.

I have no idea what a Tuner lugnuts is, and by “splined” I suspect they are referring to Gorilla brand, etc.

What are the best black lugnuts available? I’ve used Gorilla brand before, that’s fine, exactly what part do I need?

K8TS-14150BGR is listed as 2” but seems long (?)

Thanks

RTR sells the tuner lug its you need, just get them from them also. Just make sure the Lugnuts for the spare are longer than the ones for the wheels, I had to work with RTR on that because they weren't originally aware So you should confirm that when you order.

By 'Tuner', what exactly do they mean? Are they hex? Are they locking? Splined like Gorilla?

Any pics?

thanks for your help...

Tuner means small diameter. These are typical for most custom wheels which have the lug nuts recessed more than OEM wheels. The choice of hex, locking or splined is up to you, all 3 types are readily available from multiple sources and all 3 types should work (not certain about all locking lug nuts, maybe ask RTR). I bought a chrome hex set for these wheels that simply were simply described as suitable for custom wheels on a Bronco by CJ Pony Parts. They are not 2" long. Also no issue with the spare but YMMV.

^^ ahh, those are like and the same length as the Gorilla lug nuts I listed above. Any chance you have a close up pic of them on the Evo6’s?

Thank you

When I did a chat with RTR support recently they told me that they don't have lugs that fit the raptor? Did you buy strait from their website?

RTR was out of stock of the lugnuts I needed when I purchased my wheels from them.. They referred me to ExtremeTerrain.com

Remember for a Bronco you will need 27 lugnuts total.. ExtremeTerrain.com only sells sets of 24 and wanted me to purchase an entire additional set of 24 which was BS. I had my leftover McGuard locks which are small diameter and I used (3) of those to secure the spare tire...
