I think it is to but paying with an account that is listed with my address, phone, etc. and shipping to the address that is listed with said account should be a hint that the order is legit.

Edit: It is part of Toms Ford in NJ so its a legit business.
I was saying ford parts direct is legit, and this other site is trying to get business by sounding similar.

If they are legit, they've probably been scammed in the past and they are trying to validate the address. I probably would just use a more well known site and pay with PayPal

Comes up as Toms Ford in Jersey. Also Ford Parts connect comes up as a Ford pasta seller. I would call Toms Ford.

Did you say, "pasta?" Once I heard that...I would have given them the CC number, shirt off my back, a pint of blood and my first born. I'm a sucker for a killer Calzone!

I know Toms Ford is legit (have bought directly from them in the past) but there's no way the rest of this is on the up and up.

Just use the 15,500,000,000 Ford Platinum points you have accumulated when you cleaned out your bank account to buy the Bronco. You can use those points to buy the wiper blade or an oil change. Double that and get some floor mats.

I know I'm not helping - but if this is for real it should alarm all of us.

Does the legit business at that address (Tom’s Ford) know that this “Ford Parts Connect” is claiming their address? I would just call the parts department at Tom’s Ford, tell them about this company and ask them if it’s legit or not.

I work in cyber security and not to scare you but if your email is hacked, the hackers usually monitor your inbox and they likely saw you ordered from ford and sent you a phishing kit email. If your email is yahoo then 80% chance it’s compromised

FYI to everyone. Anytime you get a suspect email such as the OP received, you can do a little testing without clicking on anything. This applies if you're on a computer.

Hover the cursor over any of the links in the email, they're underlined. Do Not click on them, just hover. After a few seconds a window will pop up giving the real link. If the email is legit, the text should match the message. In the OP's case, the popup link should match the Ford dealer.

Experiment with some known good emails to get an idea how this works. It's a good way to spot phishing emails, which is what I think the OP received.

Thanks but I'm not concerned, there were no attachments and the email didn't end with spa or de or any of the other BS ones......

I don't use yahoo or google, don't bother with social media, don't have a webcam anywhere in the house and between my Cisco ASA firewall and various software programs I'm locked down pretty hard.

I am starting to think that either 1) they have had a lot of CC chargebacks or b) they may not be legit but I did pay with paypal business and I have had to resolve issues in the past with paypal and its painless. Neither one reflects well on their business though.

Same place that tried to charge me $252 shipping for a $35 part. Scam! That is not the Ford Parts store.
Truck freight???? Mine was $9 or so for a small part.
